If anyone has ever been interested in working for Nintendo, now might be the perfect time. The Big N is currently hiring. There are 18 open internships for Nintendo, all of which will be available over the summer. Candidates can start applying now.

For many, working for Nintendo would be a dream job scenario. As long as one qualifies (by having a graduate-level foundation and being legally authorized to work in the U.S.), that dream could come true. With the positions being for Nintendo of America, it would provide the opportunity to work with Nintendo Treehouse and under Doug Bowser, something that would look very good on a resume.

Nintendo similarly had internship openings last year. This year, 16 of the openings are in Redmond, Washington, with the other 2 being in Redwood City, California. Nintendo is advertising it as an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience. Nintendo is easily one of the biggest video game companies in the world, but also one of the top entertainment entities as well. The internships will run from June of 2021 until August of 2021.

The internships that are open include IT security, IT UX/UI, Researcher, and many more. Some of the areas seem more interesting on the Nintendo angle, like the Retailer Marketing & Strategy position, as Nintendo made strides with its Blue Ocean strategy methods. Nintendo has often taken different approaches, including Miyamoto shying away from violence in games, for example. An intern getting this experience could go a long way.

Other internship roles include social media positions, analytics, debugger software engineer, IT software engineer, and more. With Nintendo having some of the best looking games, the graphic designer role will likely be a coveted one as well. In reality, though, each of these positions is one that is highly regarded. Whether the position is upfront and technical or in the background, being a part of the team, even as an intern, could mean helping to put smiles on the faces of millions of players around the world.

For anyone who is interested, they can apply online for the internship with further details found there. Anyone seeking to get a foothold in the gaming industry would likely benefit from securing one of these positions. With a little bit of luck and a ton of hard work, perhaps someone who starts of as an intern could become the next great leader at Nintendo, and what a story that would be.
