A fan of the Danganronpa series has created a custom Nintendo Switch design with beautiful decals for the dock and the Joy-Cons. The design takes inspiration from the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED.

The Nintendo Switch is known for its multiple designs that feature its marquee titles and franchises. From The Legend of Zelda to Super Smash Bros., the Switch has hosted designs inspired by several games in its original form factor or the recently released Switch OLED. These unique designs can also come from other game companies such as Square Enix, which designed a special console edition to celebrate the release of one of the best Modern RPGs, Dragon Quest 11.

With this in mind, a fan of the iconic visual novel series Danganronpa on Reddit who goes by the name of ZorkDaGod_YT has created a custom design for the Nintendo Switch that's themed around it. The design features the color motif of two iconic characters that appear in the first and second games, with the Joy-Cons sporting the logo of Hope's Peak Academy.

Some players might notice the duality motif on the Joy-Cons and the dock. On the dock, players can see Monokuma, the emblematic robot character that's controlled by the mastermind in each game in the Danganronpa series. Monokuma's design is manifested in the Nintendo Switch Dock through the design of his eyes. The rounded pupil on the left symbolizes HOPE, while the jagged pupil on the right represents DESPAIR. This symbolizes Monokuma's nature as it's a Yin/Yang motif that alludes to how one cannot exist without the other. Meanwhile, the Joy-Cons feature Monomi from Danganronpa 2, Monokuma's "sister" of sorts. She appears on the back of both of the Joy-Cons alongside Monokuma.

Players were pretty hyped after seeing this fantastic design by the Reddit poster. Some of them have made allusions to the dark nature of the game by making jokes about their controllers being covered in blood, while others have made other suggestions for the Joy-Con color scheme to fit better with the overall design of the console. The original poster expressed that they were inspired by the Nintendo Switch OLED that's themed around Tears of the Kingdom and that they also tried to make the renders look very similar to what the product images would look like officially if this themed Nintendo Switch were reality. Unfortunately, as realistic as these images look, this custom Nintendo Switch is not real. Still, Danganronpa fans hope that Nintendo takes this creative design into consideration for a future special edition.
