The popular Twitch and YouTube gaming personalities Ninja, TimTheTatman, SypherPK, CouRageJD, and Nickmercs are developing a new battle royale game called Project V. Announced today, the new battle royale is set to release next year.Ninja and TimTheTatman are the most prominent names attached to the project. Richard "Ninja" Blevins is the most-followed channel on Twitch, with around 18.5 million followers. Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar is the 17th largest, with approximately 7 million. Ali "SypherPK" Hassan is only a little behind with 6.4 million followers, putting him in the same league as streamers like Amouranth. Finally, Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop and Nicholas "Nickmercs" Kolcheff aren't nearly as large as the other three but still enjoy respectable followings.RELATED: Kai Cenat's Friend Finally Responds to Sexual Assault AllegationsThe five Twitch streamers announced Project V today over the game's new Twitter account. It's being developed by SypherPK's Super Joy Studios using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, which launched in March. According to the developer's website, this release inspired the Twitch streamers to create Project V. The game will offer a complete map, custom weapons, and unique mechanics. However, the studio wasn't ready to talk specifics. Apart from that, information is limited to a promotional image showing the visual style of Project V's player characters.

SypherPK is the only one with experience on the development side of the industry, and Super Joy's output has so far been limited to making custom Fortnite maps. The studio is also relatively small, consisting of SypherPK, his wife Daniela Ali, a manager, and three developers. Still, as the studio's website points out, all five streamers are incredibly familiar with battle royal games. This is fair enough, as Ninja and SypherPK are famous primarily because of their popular Fortnite livestreams. However, it's unclear how well that experience playing Fortnite will translate to designing a game like it.

Still, the five Twitch streamers have a lot of resources at their disposal. Ninja reportedly has a net worth of around $40 million. While the other streamers don't come close to that level of wealth, they all have plenty of money to throw around. They probably won't have trouble finding outside investors if they decide they need them. The point is that the creators involved likely have the money to organize a serious game development project.

The Twitch streamers are also turning to their massive communities for help developing Project V. They will be looking for "feedback and votes" as the project progresses, and fans who want to get involved can sign up on the studio's website. Super Joy Studios is also looking for new developers to help with the project.

Project V launches in 2024.
