Developer Inflexion Games is currently working on an offline mode for Nightingale. Initially, this option was not a priority for the creators of Nightingale, but they changed their minds on the subject after many players expressed their preference to play offline.

Nightingale is the first title released by Inflexion Games, a developer with several ex-BioWare members on its team. In the game, players can explore several Fae Realms, build homes, face magical monsters, meet with NPCs, craft items, and much more. Since the early access release of Nightingale earlier this week, its devs have been working hard to improve the experience based on players’ feedback, ironing out bugs and enhancing the gameplay.

Game ZXC chats with Nightingale developers about features and content available in the game when Early Access kicks off.

Now, Inflexion Games has revealed that the team is already working on an offline mode for Nightingale. According to the devs, the lack of an offline mode during the early access launch was because the project’s original vision had co-op exploration as one of the most important aspects of the experience. The team then focused on supporting a stable co-op experience from day one to achieve this goal. However, seeing how many players were asking for an offline mode and chose to play Nightingale solo, the devs perceived their mistake in not offering this option, and are currently working to release this game mode “as soon as possible.”

As the development of Nightingale’s early access version continues, Inflexion Games will add more features and content to the survival game, but it seems that the team may also remove some options. For instance, Nightingale recently dropped AMD FSR3 support. This new upscaling technology was originally marketed as compatible with the game, but Inflexion Games has decided to remove it to improve Nightingale’s stability for now. At the moment, it’s unclear when or if FSR 3 support will be added to Nightingale again.

When Will Nightingale's Offline Mode Be Out?

  • The developers are already working in the offline mode, and it will be out "as soon as possible."

Swiftness to address issues will be important for Nightingale’s longevity, especially considering that 2024 is packed with excellent survival games. Apart from Nightingale, the beginning of the year saw the release of Enshrouded and Palworld, which were both big hits. Palworld, specifically, managed to gain 25 million players in around a month, and it’s already one of the biggest survival games of all time. Later in the year, titles like ARK 2 will also be released, making the competition even bigger. Hopefully, Inflexion Games will be able to address all player’s concerns and offer an excellent experience soon.

Nightingale is a PvE survival-crafting game developed by Inflexion Games, which is composed of former BioWare devs. Players must make their way across the Fae Realms, find their new home among the Realms, and discover what happened to the titular city. They can do so solo or via co-op, all under the guidance and tutelage of Puck - an ally, but can players truly trust him?
