Durability management is something players in Nightingale will regularly have to worry about, but thankfully, the steps involved in fixing damaged gear in this game aren't as complicated or tedious as others. There's still a real risk of your things breaking during a fight, but it shouldn't take long before they're back in working condition.

In survival title Nightingale, you have the option to either venture the Faewilds alone or with friends. Here's how to play the game co-op.

Those who have played the best survival games in recent times should be familiar with how Nightingale approaches item durability. It's a simple system that won't have players running to and from their bases, allowing for longer adventures in the many realms in the Faewilds. Here's what you need to do to fix your gear.

How to Repair Items in Nightingale

Instead of having to interact with certain crafting stations, you can repair Nightingale's many weapons and equipment directly from your inventory. To do this, press RMB/Y on an item in your inventory, then click on Repair. If you want to fix all the gear on your character, click on the Repair All button at the bottom of the inventory screen.

As mentioned earlier, repairing items can be done from anywhere at any time. The catch here is you'll need to spend Essence Dust every time you repair an item. Essence Dust costs for fixing things remain static regardless of how much of an item's durability is left, so you may want to consider holding off on repairing until your equipment is almost broken. However, repair costs will pile up over time, and you may be left with a hefty bill if all your gear breaks.

How to Get Essence Dust

Another good thing about Nightingale's repair system is that its main currency, Essence Dust, can be found literally everywhere. It is mainly gained by breaking down items like weapons, armor, and raw resources. Basic materials like rocks, sticks, and plant fiber can all be converted into useful Essence Dust with the click of a button.

First, go to your inventory, then select an item you want to break down. Again, right-click on it or press the Y button on your controller to open the secondary actions menu. Click on the Extract button, and the chosen item will immediately be converted into Essence Dust.

Repairing gear is going to be a regular part of every player's journey through the Faewilds, especially once they start engaging in the later parts of Nightingale's combat experience . Always keep enough Essence Dust in your inventory so you'll never have to worry about your gear breaking again.
