Open-world crafting and survival title Nightingale brings a Victorian fantasy to life as you create your own customizable character, including designing your own lineage, to build and explore the vast realms the game has to offer. Using the game's unique card system, you will dictate how your experience plays out as a Realmwalker that can use a variety of combat styles to ensure survival.

One of the more appealing facets of Nightingale, which began its early access on February 20, 2024, is the ability to experience the Faewild either as a solo adventurer, or with a stellar team made up of you and your friends. For those hoping to put together their own band of Realmwalkers, players will need to know how Nightingale's multiplayer features work, as well as how to invite friends to play along.

The multiplayer co-op features of Nightingale will become available to all players as soon as they have completed the tutorial components of the game. After you have passed the introduction and selected your Abeyance Realm, you will be free to invite other players to join your Realm.

For those who are not particularly competitive, you'll be pleased to know that Nightingale has been designed to be a PvE survival and crafting game, moving away from the PvP elements to create a more relaxed experience that focuses on the threats generated by the game itself. In fact, unless you specifically stipulate the inclusion of other players, either through a party or by turning your Realm on Public mode, you won't encounter any other human characters. In saying that, if you are looking to put together a team of friends to go adventuring with, you can have a party within your Realm of up to 6 players.

In order to join in with other players or invite your friends to your Realm, you will need to access and make use of the Party menu in Nightingale. You can do this by simply tapping the P key on your keyboard to open the Party and Social menu. From there, you have the option to turn invitations to Private or Public, create and leave a party, and search for a username using the search bar on the left. Bear in mind that you can conduct your search according to who is in your Realm, who you have encountered recently, or who has sent you an invite to their Realm. To join another player's party, simply click on the Invites section of the Party menu and accept any pending invites there.
