Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl includes plenty of characters to satiate fighting game fans. Many of these come from various points throughout the network's history. That said, there's still ample room for more.

Nick's catalog of characters is vast, spanning three decades worth of TV shows and movies. Not exploring this gargantuan pantheon further via DLC would do a disservice to both the channel's rich history and the devotees who've kept up with it over the years. Once all is said and done, All-Star Brawl's roster should easily rival Super Smash Bros. and its other arcade fighter contemporaries.

10 The Crimson Chin - The Fairly OddParents

The Crimson Chin in The Fairly OddParents

While Rugrats has Reptar, The Fairly OddParentshas its own in-universe, fictional superhero in the Crimson Chin. This flamboyant crime-fighter sometimes leaps off the page thanks to the magical fairies at the series' center. During these instances, he boasts the super strength that you'd expect from a comic book icon.

The difference is that his abilities (and those of his villains) are exceedingly weird. His colossal chin, for instance, can send crooks flying with a single blow. Despite these goofy visuals, the Chin himself plays it completely straight and gets the job done in the process. He'd theoretically be as powerful as Superman in a fighting game. Players would just have to pick themselves off the floor from laughing so hard.

9 Rango - Rango

Rango in Rango

The core conflict of this bizarre gem revolves around identity. The titular lizard is a self-trained actor trying to find himself. He eventually succeeds as the sheriff of an Old West town, but his penchant for improvisation and slapstick mannerisms still pop up from time to time.

This could translate to gameplay in a few ways. The various disguises Rango dons might grant different abilities to suit the scenario. Even if the developers don't go for that, there's still tons of fun to be mined from his western persona and goofy quirks. He can shoot both his gun and his tongue at lightning speed. The other fighters won't know what hit them, partly because they'll be too confused.

8 Jenny - My Life As A Teenage Robot

Jenny in My Life As A Teenage Robot

The name says it all. Jenny would like nothing more than a typical teenage life, but she must routinely combat aliens and other robots threatening her town. Thankfully, her scientist mom equipped her well against these potential targets.

There's no telling what Jenny can morph into. Her hands might become buzzsaws, or her head might sprout a laser. With these tools, she reduces her enemies to scrap with enough time to rejoin her friends at the skate park. She can be just as effective against the other Nicktoons.

7 Hugh Neutron - The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius

Hugh in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius

The obvious choice of fighter would be the titular boy genius. He has all the gadgets, after all. Like with The Wild Thornberrys, though, everyone's favorite character is the dopey dad.

Hugh's love of pie makes for a convenient projectile right off the bat.

However, viewers often find him in the midst of some random hobby or non sequitur tangent about his past exploits. He's as likely to polish his duck figurine collection as he is to play with one of his son's inventions. Because of that, the sky's the limit with his abilities. Being in his own little world usually worked out for him in the show; it can do the same in the game.

Cookie in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide

Aside from the comedy, this show was about readying kids for the challenges they may face in school. Ned's neurotic friend, Cookie, takes that preparation to the extreme. He has countless gadgets tucked away in his clothing, backpack, and even glasses.

These augments may be ingenious, but it doesn't take a genius to see how he could wield them in combat. Not to mention, he's already the most animated member of the show's main trio. It should be too much of a leap to turn him into a full-blown cartoon to fit this game's aesthetic.

5 Tito - Rocket Power

Tito in Rocket Power

Might as well add another Klasky-Csupo cartoon to the pile of Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters. Rocket Power was meant to capture the extreme sports craze of the '90s. At first glance, Tito might not exemplify that.

As a retired surfer, though, he would have plenty of sports-based moves up his sleeve. Plus, despite being more likable than the series' leads, his large size may make for a powerhouse fighter who runs over the competition. If all that isn't enough, Tito's spawned a few weird memes in recent years that the developers would be fools not to capitalize on.

4 Blue - Blue's Clues

Blue and Steve in Blue's Clues

As the mascot of a Nick, Jr. show, this lovable mutt doesn't have a malicious bone in her body. She just hangs out with her owner, Steve, as he works to solve mysteries around their humble home.

That's precisely what would make Blue's inclusion so funny.

Seeing this icon of innocence maul the opposition like a rabid dog is a priceless visual even by the game's cartoonish standards. Not to mention, her ability to hide and reappear almost anywhere might form a decent trap fighter. The creators should get a clue and throw this dog into the ring.

3 The Power Rangers - Any Power Rangers Show

The Power Rangers in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Players have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Nickelodeon has another martial arts team that has been around for nearly as long. Power Rangers has several permutations. At the end of the day, though, it always boils down to a colorful cast of kids using kung fu and sci-fi tech to combat extraterrestrial creatures.

As you'd expect, the franchise has an inherent cheesiness that fits right in here. The group's acrobatic attacks and animal-themed robotic weaponry would make them a ludicrous force to be reckoned with, even among the game's most chaotic clashes. True, they can't combine into Megazord without breaking the brawler's balance, but this mechanized savior can always fight a Godzilla-sized monster in the background. Give players another arena to go with the new characters.

2 Tak - Tak And The Power Of Juju

Tak in Tak and the Power of Juju

Though it started as an underrated series of satirical platformers, the tale of a cynical village boy eventually became a Nickelodeon animated show. Either way, Tak boasts more than enough creativity to be a contender.

Not only does his physical prowess let him jump, flip, and pole vault to the next challenge, but the Juju spirits gift him with all manner of magic powers and quirky weapons. With these at his disposal, the tribal hero would excel in a smackdown like this.

1 Rocko - Rocko's Modern Life

Rocko in Rocko's Modern Life

He may be a wallaby, but Rocko mostly functioned as a straight-faced everyman. His show derives slapstick and other cartoon conventions from normal aspects of life, from grocery shopping to garbage day.

Wielding that mundanity against the wackier Nicktoons can create an amusing contrast. His vacuum cleaner might absorb fighters and fire them back out; his toilet plunger could double as a sword. Exercise some of the same demented imagination as the cult classic show, and even the little guy can triumph in his own way.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was released on October 5, 2021, and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
