Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is adding a new character to the roster this week in the form of a familiar and lovable wallaby. Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life will be the 25th and latest character added to the game’s roster, as previously announced. Developers Ludosity and Fair Play Labs also thanked fans for their continuing support of and feedback on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl as it enters its second year.

With a lineup that includes classic Nickelodeon characters from fan-favorite shows like Spongebob Squarepants, Jimmy Neutron, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, the developers are keeping up the ode to the cartoons with a wide variety of fighters spanning the several decades since the channel’s beginning. The latest characters to be added to the roster were Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot back in May and Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron, who was added this past August. Alongside the previous announcement about Hugh's addition, it was also announced that Rocko would be added to All-Star Brawl this fall. Now, he’s almost here.

Rocko will be added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl on October 7. His addition to the game further proves that the developers listen to the requests from their players, as Rocko has been among the most-requested characters alongside Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot. It is still unknown what exactly Rocko will bring to the brawling table as far as his move set, as all attacks are still in TBA status. However, fans can expect that Rocko’s brawl move set will depend highly on his species and overall personality. So, his move set could consist of anything, really.

There is still no news on whether Rocko’s dog Spunky will join the game either, but with the lack of information regarding Rocko’s move set, it is too early to tell whether Spunky is involved in that way. Spunky’s addition to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl in general would make for some creative attack options that further add to the nostalgic Rocko’s Modern Life flair in the game. The Rocko announcement also came in time for the game’s one-year anniversary, so his addition also serves as the game’s birthday celebration.

There has been mixed reception toward Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl with some complaints about character choices and a lack of action-packed fun compared to other games within the genre, such as Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s worth pointing out that there have been some improvements since the game’s debut that make Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl stand out from other competitors in its own charming way. Most recent character additions have also been met with praise, especially Jenny and Rocko so far. It also helps that Ludosity and Fair Play Labs consider fan feedback to help improve the All-Star Brawl where improvements are desperately needed, making the game’s first full year rather promising. Perhaps the game’s second year will be just as surprising.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
