Highlights

  • Firebender Zuko joins Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 in its latest update as part of the Season Pass DLC.
  • Existing Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 characters received tweaks as well, including Mr. Krabs and Korra.
  • Zuko's powerful Firebending attacks and martial arts skills make him a formidable addition to the game.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2’s latest update adds a new playable character to the crossover fun: the fan-favorite Firebender Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Despite lukewarm reviews, 2021’s Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl performed well enough to warrant a sequel, which was released late last year. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 was considered an improvement over its predecessor, adding 11 new playable characters from across the beloved children’s cable channels' most popular shows.

This includes several characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender, a franchise that has seen plenty of representation over the past few years thanks to the recent live-action Netflix series and a host of tie-in Avatar video games. The original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl allowed players to take to the battlefield as main protagonist Aang, his tough-as-nails Earthbender friend Toph, and Korra from the follow-up series The Legend of Korra. The sequel retained Aang and Korra, while adding the villainous Princess Azula to the proceedings.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Adds Avatar Villain to the Roster

Upcoming fighting game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 adds an iconic villain from Avatar: The Last Airbender to its playable roster.

Now Azula’s brother Zuko is being added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 as part of the new Update 1.8 patch, which is now available to download. Zuko is included as part of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Season Pass, which will add four new DLC characters to the game’s roster. In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko was the son of the wicked Fire Lord Ozai, and initially sought to capture Avatar Aang to regain his father’s approval. During the show’s third and final season, Zuko renounced his cruel father and joined Aang, teaching the young Avatar the ways of Firebending to help end the Fire Lord’s tyranny.

Zuko isn’t the only thing being added in the new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 update, as various tweaks are being implemented among the game’s existing roster. This includes previous DLC character Mr. Krabs of SpongeBob SquarePants fame, who now has Invincibility for all Throw attack states and increased Knockback gain for Charge Down. The duo of Ren and Stimpy, Nigel from The Wild Thornberrys, and the aforementioned Avatar Korra are all getting minor changes, and other characters have their Get Up In Place states fixed to match the rest of the roster.

As helpful as these adjustments are for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 players, the main attraction of the new update will no doubt be the playable Zuko, whose powerful Firebending attacks and fierce martial arts skills are sure to make him a force to be reckoned with in the arena. He won’t be the last Avatar: The Last Airbender character to be added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, as the ongoing All-Star Brawl 2 season pass also includes Iroh, Zuko’s kindly uncle whose wisdom and compassion were crucial to Zuko’s redemption – a nearly three-season journey that cemented him as one of Avatar’s most beloved characters.
