While on the surface some might see Grandma Gertie as a ridiculous pick given her age, fans of the Hey Arnold series know that she’s a perfect fit on the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 roster. Grandma Gertie within the show is a black belt in karate and her gameplay trailer shows that her training paid off. Her moveset also consists of her using household utilities like a broom and a frying pan along with her Axe. Grandma Gertie won’t be the only person from Hey Arnold on the roster as Arnold's best friend Gerald makes an appearance too.

While Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character Jimmy Neutron might be a more recent character that players will recognize, many fans of the Nickelodeon 1996 show Hey Arnold will enjoy wreaking havoc as Grandma Gertie. The title already has two Hey Arnold representatives, but there’s always a chance that series characters like Helga Pataki will show up as well.

One of the biggest struggles that the original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl faced was that it was commonly compared to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 improved since the first game. One of the bigger inclusions that will be present in the sequel is a new single-player campaign where players are tasked to stop Vlad Plasmius from Danny Phantom from conquering the multiverse. Another addition is new game modes along with cross-platform support allowing players to go head-to-head regardless of what platform they’re on.

GameMill Entertainment isn’t holding any punches with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 this time around. While Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is considered to be a Smash Bros. clone, it’s pulling out all the stops to stand out and give itself its own identity.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
