The game that was originally hailed as the Super Smash Bros. killer seems to be attempting a second try at claiming that title as Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has been all but confirmed to be in production thanks to recent leaks. While the original game didn't quite live up to the expectations many had placed on it prior to release, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has the chance to build upon the solid foundation of its predecessor and better flesh out the game's features for a more robust experience. Part of what could improve this sequel is the inclusion of one of Nickelodeon's most iconic franchises that missed out on representation in the entry prior.

The most recent leak for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 shows El Tigre as a fighter in the game, which is a fitting addition to the roster of cartoon characters. However, with titans of Nickelodeon like SpongeBob, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Rugrats represented in the game, it seems very out of place that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does not feature any characters from TheFairly OddParents. As another classic Nickelodeon show with tons of character potential, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has the opportunity to right this wrong and include some Fairly OddParents representation.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Could Do a Lot With a Fairly OddParents Character

One of the aspects of the game that resonated with fans was the emphasis on competitive gameplay built into Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's mechanics and controls. Despite the game being bare bones in a lot of ways, each character felt finely tuned in their move set and interaction with in-game physics. As such, it may have been difficult for developer Ludosity to envision how a Fairly OddParents character could function as a fighter in this first attempt, but when evaluating potential fighters for a sequel, there are a couple good options from the series to choose from.

While Timmy Turner would be difficult to make work as a solo fighter, having a duo character of Cosmo and Wanda seems like a no-brainer. This character could function similarly to the Ice Climbers in the Super Smash Bros. series where players control both Cosmo and Wanda at once while moving and attacking in tandem. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl already includes Ren and Stimpy a similar duo character, so alternatively, Cosmo and Wanda could function more like Pokemon Trainer from Super Smash Bros. where the player can switch between them with Timmy Turner in the background wishing for them to perform their attacks.

If this type of character is too complicated to make the roster in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, a great option for a more straightforward character would be Fairly OddParents' Jorgen Von Strangle. As the strongest of the fairies and enforcer of Da Rules, Jorgen would be the perfect fairy candidate to join the brawl among Nickelodeon characters. Although he is not as iconic as Cosmo or Wanda, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has established a precedent of featuring side characters as fighters representing their home series such as Hugh Neutron from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.

Beyond character representation, Fairly OddParents has some great options for stages in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 as well. Fairy World would be the best choice for a stage with its bright, neon sign pointing towards the location being an iconic visual. Timmy Turner's house would also work as an alternative to Fairy World, but might end up being too similar to The Loud House's stage. With all of this untapped potential within such an iconic series, it would be a huge missed opportunity if Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 did not feature The Fairly OddParents in some way.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
