Fans of the Ni no Kuni franchise are delighted that the hit fantasy game finally has an MMO, courtesy of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. In the game, players get a Ni no Kuni twist on the modern isekai genre - characters get sent to the game world of “Soul Divers” before eventually realizing that they have to save both its world and theirs from eventual destruction.

Thankfully, saving the world of Cross Worlds isn’t that much of an urgent matter, as players can enjoy the full depth of this Ni no Kuni MMO with its many features. One such prominent feature is its means of allowing players to earn cryptocurrency, where they can exchange these tokens for various items - as well as real-world money. In that regard, what exactly is the Territe currency, and how do players earn it?

Territe Versus Asterite

Territe and Asterite Tokens

Similar to other cryptocurrency games, there are quite a lot of cryptocurrency tokens players can dabble into when playing the game, such as Territe and Asterite. Before players get into farming Territe, it may help to understand just how these tokens work in the larger context of the game, especially as beginners in Cross Worlds.

Outside Cross Worlds, other cryptocurrency games often have an equivalent in-game item for players to earn, which only then can be converted into a token that can be traded in the real world.

Enter MBX

The MarbleX blockchain

First things first, it helps to learn more about the MBX or Marble X cryptocurrency, which is the underlying technology behind the Asterite and Territe tokens. This is the cryptocurrency Netmarble has officially implemented in Cross Worlds.

Minus the complicated structure of cryptocurrencies in the space, what this essentially entails is that Cross Worlds players have the opportunity to earn MBX, which they can then “exchange” into either real money or other tokens within the global cryptocurrency exchange.

Asterite Token

The Asterite Token

In the game, players can earn something called the Asterite or the Asterite Token by accomplishing player-versus-player or PVP tasks. Players are only able to earn Asterite Tokens (sometimes called by their technical term NKA) through exchanging tokens with other players or through participating in the game’s competitive components, fit for some PVP-oriented Cross Worlds Classes such as the Witch. In the context of in-game earning, the game only provides NKA through PVP missions.

The Territe Token

The Territe Token

Compared to the NKA or Asterite Token, the Territe Token is also referred to as the NKT. Similar to Asterite, players are also able to earn Territe through completing various in-game requirements. However, whereas Asterite is earned through competitive means, Territe is earned from the game’s PVE or player-versus-environment components.

This token is the game’s way of ensuring players uninterested in the competitive aspect of Cross Worlds can still have a way to earn money and exchange tokens. Thanks to the rather fast-paced aspects of Cross Worlds Class Core Abilities and the way they sync with rotations, players can clear PVE objectives to earn Territe much faster.

Earning Territe Tokens

The Territe Currency

Due to the nature of both Territe and Asterite being in-game tokens that players can earn, it’s natural for players to find themselves earning these tokens in rather “random” ways, especially when going by their day-to-day tasks. However, those aiming to farm for Territe may want to focus on specific tasks that can help them earn the most amount of Territe in a day’s worth of playtime.

Boost Class Grade

Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds - Available Classes

One of the important aspects of earning Territe in Cross Worlds is to ensure players have more than enough capacity to acquire them in the first place. This lies in raising the Class Grade of their character, essentially leveling up their Class to reach certain thresholds beyond acquiring Cross Worlds Passives and other active skills.

A Class gets a boost in the number of Territe to be earned and stored per day whenever they level up 20 times. This value stacks per unique character Class, meaning players have 25 opportunities to boost their Territe capacity, with the game having five unique Classes and five Class Grade tiers.

Strengthen Combat Power

Players encountering a boss in Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds

Similar to other MMOs with gear scores or equipment grades, Cross Worlds also have what’s called Combat Power. In the game, CP is the measure of a character’s overall strength, with almost all aspects of the character having some sort of CP value. This determines the character’s potency in most given situations, giving players an early lead on whether their character can take on certain dungeons or monsters. All Classes need to take note of their CP, not just DPS Classes such as the Swordsman and the Witch.

In the context of Territe, it’s highly recommended for players to strive to get as high CP as possible. That way, players are always prepared to take on more difficult tasks in the fastest way possible. Since a lot of Territe acquisition involves doing various quests, a higher CP to finish these quests faster gives players more room to earn Territe.

Complete Daily Quests

Some Daily Quests in Cross Worlds

Similar to other games, players do have the opportunity to accomplish Daily Quests as part of the gameplay in Cross Worlds. However, a unique twist here is that Daily Quests can also provide players with Territe. As with other MMOs, a lot of Daily Quests revolve around players making use of the game’s full slate of features, aside from combat with the likes of farming-oriented Classes like the Destroyer.

In turn, some Daily Quests include completing Swift Solutions or tasks inside the Kingdom (Guild), completing a Familiar Adventure, and even completing the Fire Temple. Players should aim to do the Daily Quests as soon as they enter the game, with the priority being that of doing Dailies alongside other quests that have the same requirements.

Kill Monsters In Chaos Field

The Chaos Field in Cross Worlds

At some point during the game’s Main Story, players get a tutorial to access and unlock the Chaos Field. In game speak, this refers to a special region or instance filled with more powerful iterations of monsters that pack more powerful rewards. These include Weapons, Accessories, Tomes, and other gear that easily surpass the 3-Star threshold.

More importantly, Chaos Field monsters may also drop Territe. Once players unlock the Chaos Field, they can access it from the Challenge Button in the main menu. They can either pay 1,500 Gold to fast travel to it or travel by foot. Players are recommended to access the Chaos Field floor closest to their Combat Power, so the drops are appropriately tailored to their strength. Teaming up with PVE powerhouses like the Witch to tackle tougher Chaos FIeld floors may also help players farm Territe easier.

Familiar Adventure

A character and their familiars in Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds

A unique aspect of Cross Worlds involves Familiars or little creatures that solve as “assistants” of players that aid them in battle. Most Familiars are capable of combat, with all of them possessing unique skills that can boost the player’s performance, akin to the buffs provided by the Engineer. However, players can also send Familiars out to fight monsters and gather resources through Familiar Adventure.

In this mode, players select a preferred gathering and monster node as well as look into their potential rewards. Players may be able to pick a node they’re interested in that earns them the most Territe.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds was released globally in 2022 for Android, iOS, and PC.
