Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been on a hot streak lately, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. January 2022 has been a massive month for Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft is looking to carry that momentum on to February. Microsoft has yet to reveal the full scope of its plans for Xbox Game Pass in February 2022, but we do know of at least five games currently scheduled to come to Game Pass next month.

At the time of this writing, there are five games currently confirmed to be on the way for Xbox Game Pass in February 2022. All five of these games could technically be considered day one Xbox Game Pass games, as while some of them have been available for other platforms before, this is the first time any of these games will be available on Xbox. One of the games is PC exclusive, but will still be available to play for free for those that have a PC Game Pass subscription or are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

  • Besiege: Console Edition - February 10
  • Edge of Eternity - February 10
  • Total War: Warhammer 3 - February 17
  • Shredders - TBA

As it stands, the first game confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in February 2022 is Dreamscaper. Dreamscaper has been available for PC and Nintendo Switch for quite some time, but is just now making its Xbox debut. It's a unique roguelite game with an interesting premise. In it, players live their normal day-to-day lives, having social interactions with characters that can in turn get them bonuses when they visit the nightmare world. Players enter this nightmare world whenever they dream at night, and it's here where they will have to fight back against enemies to stay alive. Blending social and action-RPG elements, Dreamscaper earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its original release and should prove to be a solid choice for Game Pass subscribers.

A week later on February 10, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to check out Besiege: Console Edition. Besiege: Console Edition has been out for PC for a while, but it's just now making its console debut as an Xbox Game Pass game on February 10, with it set to be available for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles. Besiege has players constructing siege engines that they then get to use to fight back against enemies, destroy castles, and solve puzzles.

Fans of physics-based puzzle games in particular may get a kick out of Besiege: Console Edition, but RPG enthusiasts have something to look forward to on February 10 as well. February 10 will see the launch of Edge of Eternity on Xbox Game Pass. Edge of Eternity is inspired by classic JRPGs and originally released on PC last year. The console version of the game is launching through Xbox Game Pass, marking yet another title coming in February that could arguably be called a day one Game Pass title.

edge of eternity

Dreamscaper, Besiege: Console Edition, and Edge of Eternity will certainly have their fans, but the biggest game currently announced for Game Pass in February is easily Total War: Warhammer 3. The third installment in the Total War: Warhammer series, Total War: Warhammer 3 is likely to be a critical darling when it launches on February 17. There won't be a console version of Total War: Warhammer 3, but those with PC Game Pass or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be able to check it out on PC.

And finally, snowboarding game Shredders is currently scheduled to release for Xbox Game Pass at some point in February 2022. Shredders was originally supposed to launch late last year, but was delayed to February, and it seems that it may be facing yet another delay. There are rumors that Shredders could get delayed to March, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers hoping to play it next month should keep their expectations in check just in case the rumors turn out to be true.

With the way Microsoft typically announces the Xbox Game Pass lineup for any given month, subscribers can expect the next batch of games to be confirmed within the first couple days of February. At that point, Microsoft will likely highlight the Xbox Game Pass games coming in the first two weeks of February, with the batch for the last two weeks of the month likely revealed around February 15 or thereabouts.
