The trailer for this new Xbox Game Pass game starts off with a priestess bowing towards shrine before several unidentified creatures fly throughout the area. From there, a samurai-esque man leaps in front of the priestess to protect her with his sword. These sword strikes seem to light up with a pink energy as they hit the creatures. The pink energy purifies the enemies, transforming them back into humans.

Further in the trailer, the player opens up a portal, which allows them to enter a darker area, guided by a variety of grotesque-looking creatures, all seemingly based on various Yokai myths and Japanese Folklore. The creatures all seem to be infinitely spawning from a gate, with one that is at least twice the size of the player character.

The player can engage these creatures in combat, using the purified humans in a team, where they participate in hack-and-slash type combat similar to Devil May Cry. The player's party will assist them in these battles with flashy special attacks. The trailer closes out with the priestess and other practioners purifying the surrounding area, closing the fleshy demonic gate and revealing the beautiful Japanese landscapes that was previously there before it was run over by evil spirits.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is currently in development.
