A persistent rumor suggests that a new Xbox controller and mysterious headset reveal is happening soon. Microsoft and Sony both regularly release new accessories for their consoles, and the former seems to be working on a headset that accompanies an Xbox controller spotted in an image that went viral online.

With Xbox having experienced a bit of a lull in exclusive game releases, many players are awaiting the release of Bethesda's Starfield, the first RPG from the studio under Xbox's ownership. While PlayStation just held a showcase that revealed several titles and gave more details on others, Xbox is set to have its own show full of announcements next month. As many recent Xbox game releases are accompanied by unique controller designs like the customizable Redfall ones, some players suggest that the anticipated Bethesda RPG Starfield will be getting its own gamepad.

An image of a Starfield-themed controller sparked conversation last month when eager fans wanted to know when they could get their hands on the unique controller. According to a rumor, this white controller with sci-fi details and the Starfield colors near the central Xbox button will cost $79.99 like similar controllers that have already been released. Allegedly codenamed Ogden, the Xbox controller isn't coming alone as it may be joined by a wireless headset that shares the same color scheme, which is dubbed Orren and will run players back $124.99.

While photos of the Starfield Xbox Series X/S controller have surfaced online, the Orren headset has been reported significantly less, with a brief mention of it coming from K. Asante on the Xbox Era podcast. According to a report, the Ogden and Orren Xbox Series X/S accessories will be released in both the US and Europe which may suggest that both will be dropping in most regions around the launch of Starfield. Because they haven't been revealed by Xbox yet, players are speculating that Ogden and Orren will make an appearance during the June Xbox Game Showcase which is expected to feature more Starfield footage.

Because an appropriately themed controller or headset hasn't accompanied previous Bethesda releases, many long-time studio fans have voiced their enthusiasm for an image of the controller that has circulated online. Many Bethesda fans have made custom Fallout controllers in celebration of the Bethesda games that are already out which may bode well for the sales of Ogden and Orren which may be limited-edition items.
