Microsoft has revealed the brand-new Sunkissed Vibes Xbox controller, inspired by OPI nail colors. There are many different color options available to Xbox gamers who are in the market for a new controller, with new ones introduced on a regular basis.
Microsoft didn't reinvent the wheel when it introduced the Xbox Series X/S controller. The latest Xbox controller is basically a refined version of the Xbox One controller, with a slightly different shape and the new Share button in its center. Since the Xbox Series X/S consoles released in 2020, Microsoft has released a variety of new colors for its new controller, with Sunkissed Vibes just the latest Special Edition available for consumers to buy.
Coming about as a collaboration with nail brand OPI, the Sunkissed Vibes controller costs $69.99 and is available to pre-order now through the Microsoft Store with a May 9 release date. The Sunkissed Vibes Xbox controller is a Target exclusive in the US, so fans should keep that in mind. The OPI nail polish collection that the controller is based on is available as of May 1. As always, the controller is compatible with Xbox consoles, iOS and Android mobile devices, and PCs.

The new Sunkissed Vibes Xbox controller is just the latest Xbox controller color introduced by Microsoft in the past few years. There weren't many Xbox controller colors to choose from at launch, but the options have been greatly expanded since then. Besides standard controller colors, there are also Special Edition controllers like this Sunkissed Vibes one that come with special quirks or features. For example, there's a line of Special Edition Xbox controllers that come with extra grip, with consumers having the choice between Aqua Shift, Lunar Shift, and Stellar Shift at the time of this writing.
Of course, Xbox fans who aren't impressed by the Sunkissed Vibes controller or any of the other controller options can always design their own from scratch. The Xbox Design Lab makes it possible for fans to easily customize their own controllers, picking out the colors and other details.
There's also the premium Xbox controllers to considers. In addition to its regular controllers, Microsoft also sells a line of expensive Elite controllers that offer even more customization and are designed with truly hardcore gamers in mind. The Xbox Elite controllers have proven popular enough that rival PlayStation has even stepped up with its own version of the concept, releasing the DualSense Edge controller for its PlayStation 5 console to strong reviews earlier this year.
