The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise has been on quite the hideous. The franchise was extremely popular in the late '90s and early 2000s, but it has been quiet or unsuccessful since. But Jason Dill noted that a new Tony Hawk game could be arriving as soon as this year. In a video that is circulating on social media, Jason nonchalantly mentioned that there will be a Tony Hawk Pro Skater game soon, and that his song is a part of the soundtrack.
Tony Hawk: Alcatraz was leaked earlier in the month by online retailers, with a release date of October 2020. So it is entirely possible that the game that Jason Dill is referring to this game. Alcatraz is apparently coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
While the series was played frequently and saw yearly iterations for about a decade, the franchise lost its luster towards the end of its run, with games like 2006's Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and 2007's Proving Grounds being among the worst Tony Hawk games.
2015 saw the most recent releases of a console Tony Hawk game, but Tony Hawk's Proskater 5 was received terribly by most outlets and wasn't enjoyed by many fans. It may be a great time to reboot the franchise and bring in all the best attributes from previous games.
