Lucasfilm has seen some pretty massive shakeups lately, for better or worse. But it's only the latest in a history of delays and cancelations. Luckily, 3 upcoming Star Wars projects have remained unscathed, with some revealing new information for fans to gush over.

After the recent news that Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni has become chief creative officer at Lucasfilm, some fans may have become fearful that it would mean more of a focus on his streaming offerings instead of movies from other creators. While that's a valid concern among those who aren't as keen on Filoni's style, it has immediately proven unfounded. Specifically, 3 Star Wars features in the works that maintain their momentum despite the big changes. But what does it mean for the future of the franchise?

In a Vanity Fair interview with Lucasfilm, the company confirmed the continued production of 3 separate upcoming Star Wars movies. Unsurprisingly, the first is Filoni's own film set to tie in the various streaming shows in the "Mandoverse" (including The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, and the curious new project Skeleton Crew). But the list also notably includes a movie from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold exploring the origins of the Jedi. Finally, perhaps the most exciting of all, the new film featuring the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey is still on track from Academy Award-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, presumably kicking off the "New Jedi Order" era.

Lucasfilm specified that each film is "still on the books," and they're not alone. Despite various delays of Star Wars projects during the strikes in Hollywood, the upcoming streaming series The Acolyte remains on track for a 2024 release. This Disney Plus show will be the first live-action depiction of the High Republic era, depicting the Jedi Order during its peak just before the Sith came to power. Skeleton Crew also maintains its 2024 course, featuring a more youth-focused story of several children exploring the galaxy during the post-Return of the Jedi years.

As for the movies, there's certainly a lot to look forward to there. Mangold's foray into a galaxy far, far away is difficult to speculate on given its rather unprecedented setting, and little has been revealed about it. However, given the director's track record, it's bound to be something audiences can bounce out of their seats for. Expect nothing less from the guy who helmed 2017's Logan. Ridley's possibly-titled new Star Wars movie is still scarce in details, but the star recently revealed to Collider that it may offer something unexpected for fans.

"I'm very excited. The story is really cool. I'm waiting to read a script because, obviously, I don't have any other updates. It's not what I expected, but I'm very excited."

One way or another, Star Wars fans will be eating good for the foreseeable future. The prequel era is seemingly the only period not represented in an upcoming new project. But those hungry for some clone action still have The Bad Batch season 3 to look forward to. Plus, with another season of Ahsoka all but inevitable, that covers just about everything. Yep, eating good.

The Star Wars saga is available on Disney Plus.
