The official website for the upcoming Spy×Family anime released a new key visual, revealing more staff members and an April 9 premiere on Monday. The anime will air on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyuushuu as well as Niigata TV 21, TV Shizuoka, RCC Chugoku Broadcasting, and BS TV Tokyo.

A promotional video teasing the anime was released in December, during the Jump Festa event. The series will be split into two separate cours, with the first scheduled to run throughout the Spring 2022 season.

Tatsuya Endo’s SpyxFamily manga is serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ magazine, under the Jump Comics+ imprint. The series began its run in 2019 and has amassed 8 collected volumes so far.

Both Wit Studio and CloverWorks will produce the anime adaptation. Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Dororo, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn) will direct the series, while Takashi Katagiri (Great Pretender), Norihito Takahashi (Berserk), and Takahiro Harada (The Promised Neverland) will serve as assistant directors.

The music for the anime will be done by musical group [K]NoW_NAME. [K]NoW_NAME have worked on a handful of anime projects, doing the music and theme songs for Dorohedoro, Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions, Sakura Quest, and Fairy Gone.

The anime will star Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger with Saori Hayami and Atsumi Tanezaki set to play Yor and Anya Forger, respectively. Eguchi is best known for his roles as Hachiman Hikigaya in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Takeo Gouda in My Love Story!!. Hayami voiced Yukino Yukinoshita in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Shinobu Kochou in Demon Slayer, while Tanezaki is best known for playing Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai’s Rio Futaba and The Ancient Magus' Bride’s Chise Hatori.

VIZ Media licenses the manga in English, and Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.
