Sony has updated the list of games available to PlayStation Plus Extra members to include the 2017 co-op game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. PlayStation Plus Extra is the middle tier of the PS Plus subscription service. It comes with everything that PS Plus Essential does, but its main selling point is its large library of PS4 and PS5 games.

The PS Plus Extra games are typically updated on a monthly basis. PS Plus Extra updates tend to happen around the middle of the month, with a batch of games getting removed and fresh titles added. However, Sony has broken from its usual PS Plus Extra pattern thanks to the ongoing Days of Play event, which is seeing new games added to the PS Plus Extra tier on unexpected days.

Since relaunching the subscription service in June 2022, Sony has added a host of games per month to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium.

The latest game added to PS Plus Extra is LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. The 2017 PS4 game earned mixed reviews from critics, but was very well-received by fans, to the point where it has a "Very Positive" overall rating on Steam. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 plays like any otherLEGO video game, in that players are challenged to collect as many studs as possible by smashing almost everything in sight as they make their way through its levels, all the while encountering LEGO versions of iconic characters.

PS Plus Extra Days of Play Games List

ps plus extra days of play games
  • Dredge - May 29
  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 - May 31
  • Cricket 24 - June 5
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition - June 7

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the latest game added to PS Plus Extra as part of the Days of Play event, but it's certainly not the only one. The festivities started when Dredge was added to PS Plus Extra on May 29. A horror fishing game, Dredge offers a significantly different experience than LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, but it earned even stronger reviews from fans and critics, so subscribers should be sure to check it out while it's playable through the service.

Looking ahead, there are a couple more games that PS Plus Extra subscribers can expect to see added to the lineup during Days of Play. First up is Cricket 24, which will be added to the lineup on June 5, followed by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition on June 7. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition is the remade version of San Andreas that was not nearly as well-received as the original, but it's still worth a look.

Of course, fans can expect the usual PS Plus Extra mid-month update to come in June as well, though what it will bring to the table remains a mystery. It's expected that the update will happen on June 18, the same day that games are removed from PS Plus Extra, but official details have yet to be revealed.
