PlayStation gamers will have plenty to play through their PS Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions on March 19, but those on PC have something to look forward to that day as well. March 19 is the release date of Stardew Valley Update 1.6, which is set to add new festivals, secrets, and more to the beloved life sim. Stardew Valley Update 1.6 will be available exclusively on PC at first, but it will eventually make its way to other platforms.

Xbox gamers should mark March 19 on their calendars as well, as that day will see the addition of two more day one games to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Specifically, March 19 will see the debut of Lightyear Frontier and MLB The Show 24 as day one games. Lightyear Frontier is a new sci-fi farming sim with co-op and mechs, while MLB The Show 24 is a new baseball sim that's actually developed by a PlayStation-owned studio.

Wednesday, March 20

  • Alone in the Dark Release Date
  • X-Men '97 Debuts on Disney+

March 19 is going to be a massive day for entertainment, but things aren't slowing down on Wednesday, March 20. X-Men '97, the continuation of the beloved X-Men animated series from the 90s, will premiere on Disney+ on March 20 with its first two episodes, "To Me, My X-Men" and "Mutant Liberation Begins." The X-Men animated series is often pointed to as one of the best animated series of all time, so expectations are incredibly high for the revival.

X-Men isn't the only franchise getting a revival on March 20. That same day will see the release of the Alone in the Dark reimagining, a brand-new Alone in the Dark game that attempts to put a modern twist on the original story. The new Alone in the Dark puts David Harbour and Jodie Comer in the shoes of Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. Originally set for release last year, horror game fans have been waiting a long time for the new Alone in the Dark, and luckily the wait is almost over.

Thursday, March 21

  • Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Launches Worldwide
  • 3 Body Problem Releases on Netflix
  • Road House Premieres on Amazon Prime

While main series Call of Duty games typically launch in October and November every year, a new CoD release is set to drop on Thursday, March 21 in the form of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is a mobile take on the Call of Duty battle royale, featuring fan-favorite BR map Verdansk as well as a selection of popular traditional multiplayer maps as well. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has impressed many in its testing phases, and it will be exciting to see if it is able to live up to the hype come launch on Thursday, March 21.

March 21 is home to more than just a major new game release, though. That same day, Netflix is releasing 3 Body Problem, a sci-fi series based on the novel of the same name. Notably, 3 Body Problem is being made by Game of Thrones alum David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Considering how poorly the last season of Game of Thrones was received, it will definitely be interesting to see how Netflix subscribers react to 3 Body Problem come March 21, though early reactions seem to be positive.

Subscribers to Amazon Prime also have something to check out on March 21. That day will see the release of Road House, the remake of the classic 80s film, but with Jake Gyllenhaal in the starring role. The new Road House has earned mostly positive reviews from critics, but the jury is still out on how the audience will react.

Friday, March 22

  • Dragon's Dogma 2 Launch
  • Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Immaculate Release in Theaters
  • Princess Peach: Showtime Lands on Switch
  • Rise of the Ronin Releases as PS5 Exclusive

If all that weren't enough, Friday, March 22 is home to even more entertainment releases and stands as what could very possibly be the busiest day the gaming industry will see all year. Barring any last minute delays, three major games are going to release on March 22, with Dragon's Dogma 2, Princess Peach: Showtime, and Rise of the Ronin all set to launch at the same time.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is an open world RPG from Capcom that has already drawn attention thanks to its impressively deep character creation tools that allow fans to make basically any character they can think of. Princess Peach: Showtime, meanwhile, is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and the first game to put Peach in the starring role since 2005's Super Princess Peach on the Nintendo DS. And finally, Rise of the Ronin is an open world action-adventure game from Team Ninja that will release as a PS5 exclusive come March 22.

Gamers are going to be incredibly busy on March 22, but moviegoers should pay attention to that date as well. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the latest movie in the long-running blockbuster franchise, is premiering in theaters that day with a cast comprising the original Ghostbusters and the new team established in the reboot film. Plus, Immaculate, a new horror movie starring Sydney Sweeney that has been getting decent reviews, is premiering the very same day.

Between all the new movies, games, and TV premiers, next week is set to be absolutely stacked, and it will be exciting to see how all these projects turn out.
