A new job posting suggests that the next Battlefield game is focusing on the franchise's classic destruction feature. The previous Battlefield game, Battlefield 2042, was criticized by some fans for taking a step back in this regard.

There are many reasons that Battlefield became a popular franchise over the years, including its large-scale combat, fluid gameplay, and array of usable vehicles. But one of the most impressive features in Battlefield games has usually been its destruction, which allows players to modify the landscape by destroying buildings and other structures that react to how the player carries out this destruction. While Battlefield 2042 still included destruction, many users felt the game regressed in this regard due to many of the game's core maps featuring limited opportunities to utilize this feature. This was one of the reasons Battlefield 2042 became one of the most disappointing games of 2021, but it seems that the next Battlefield game is taking a much different approach.
