Now isn't necessarily a good time to be a fan of the 2000s Nickelodeon cartoon. While the original series is still a classic, many are already critical of the Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action show currently in the works at Netflix. On the other hand, there may be some hope on the horizon for those that want more of Aang and his friends.
Earlier this year, the creator of Avatar: The Last Airbender teased upcoming projects related to the series. Further, last month a new game, based on the original series, was revealed to be in the works with developer Bamtang Games. Titled Avatar: The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance, the game looks to be a mix of action and puzzles and will feature both single-player and co-op modes. At the time of its reveal, there was no set release date, leaving gamers guessing. This seems to have changed, however.
Recently, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store all updated their pages for the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender game to include a release date of September 22, 2023. The change was originally noted and reported by gaming journalists regarding Nintendo's storefront, but it has since been confirmed that Microsoft and Sony have also listed the same launch date.
