As the Spring 2023 anime season comes to an end, it is time to start looking toward next season and making plans on what to watch. There are plenty of huge sequels on the roster, which are predictably creating the most hype, including new seasons of Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen. But don't let these big names distract you; there are a lot of brand-new anime airing, too.

All of these anime are not sequels or prequels to anything, and you can start to watch them from this season without needing any prior knowledge. There's a lot of comedy coming out this summer, along with some fantasy, romance, and of course, isekai! While it may be hard to find time around all the hard-hitting sequels that will be airing at the same time, don't forget to have a look at some of these new anime as well. You never know when one will be the next smash hit.
