10 Amusement Park

One of the coolest details in the Arlong Park arc One Piece Live Action is the design of the location itself. This place looks a lot like an Amusement Park in One Piece Live Action and there is a big reason behind that.

Later down the line in One Piece, when the deep racism that the Fishmen are treated with in the story is highlighted, it is made clear that Arlong took inspiration for Arlong Park from Sabaody Park itself. While the manga does well to showcase that, the live-action series takes it a level beyond and turns the entirety of Arlong Park into an Amusement Park.

9 Thriller Bark Tree Zombie

Arlong Park in One Piece Live Action has a horror theme attraction as well and in it, fans can see the Tree Zombie from Thriller Bark. This is a very small detail for the fans to notice, however, only the most eagle-eyed fans would have caught this.

Nonetheless, it is a very cool addition to the arc itself that also makes the fans excited for what is to come in the future.

8 Oykot Kingdom

Oykot Kingdom OPLA

Oykot Kingdom is where Nami was born in One Piece. It is the island where Bellemere found both her as well as Nojiko, and took them back to Conomi Islands with her and adopted them.

In One Piece Live Action, a map of Oykot Kingdom is clearly visible when Nami is seen reading a book.

7 Crimin

6 Grandson's Deaths

Garp-1

Garp has a very pronounced role in One Piece Live Action. He is seen chasing Luffy throughout the East Blue so as to stop him from becoming a pirate.

Essentially, Garp fears seeing his grandson meet the same fate as Roger. This is a very subtle nod to his other grandson Ace, who fans know follows the same fate as Roger, his father.

Vira is an island that erupts in revolt around the beginning of One Piece. When Luffy gets his first bounty, the same newspaper has a small article on the side that states that the Revolutionary Army was successful in its endeavors in Vira.

While most fans likely missed this, the news article about Vira mentions Monkey D. Dragon by his full name. Along with that, the sigil of the Revolutionary Army is also presented to the fans.
