Now, the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film has come to the platform, furthering the story of Leatherface, one of the most gruesome slasher film maniacs in the genre. His cold dead stare through the face of one of his victims chills most to the bone. The new film features Mark Burnham as the movie's menace, and is filled with scenes of the six-foot-four behemoth cutting away at anything in his path. Kills are the most essential part of a slasher film, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre did not disappoint with the latest film in this prominent franchise.

8 Leatherface Gives The Deputy A Hand

As the plot begins to unfold, viewers find Leatherface somewhat reformed and living peacefully with his adoptive mother. However, the walls keeping the killer at bay crumble away as Mrs. MC, played by Alice Krige, passes away in the back of a police van in her big boy's arms.

This unleashes the beast on the unsuspecting deputy, Jolyon Coy, sitting beside him. Leatherface breaks the officer's arm and stabs him to death with his own radius bone. The gruesome scene sets the tone for the entire film as a bloodbath ensues.

7 Dante, Cut To The Bone

As the reinvigorated killer returns, Leatherface heads back to his home in Harlow, which has just been filled with fresh blood waiting to be spilled. Jacob Latimore and Sarah Yarkin’s characters, Dante and Melody, search the house for a missing deed. Leatherface appears wearing the face of his surrogate mother, and Dante is the first to come face to face with the maniac.

Leatherface cuts him down with a cleaver, nearly severing his entire jaw. Dante makes it far enough to alert the film's he-man that there's something wrong going on, and prompts him to investigate.

6 Cowboy Moe Goes Down

Moe Dunford plays the red-blooded, gun-owning American hero Richter, racing around in a red 4x4 and chugging beers. As the bodies start to drop, Richter decides to investigate the orphanage where Melody and Dante were last seen.

Upon entry, he engages with Leatherface. While the Pepsi cowboy tries to hold his own, Leatherface's brutality and strength are too much for him. Armed with a large sledgehammer, Leatherface beats the Moe to a pulp and turns his head into a pancake, leaving all the others on their own with no hero to save them.

5 Twitter Guy: Try it, And You're Canceled

A storm rolls in, and with it, Leatherface decides to exit the shadows and bring terror to those who came to gentrify the small town. The group of socialites huddles together in the tour bus they rode in on to avoid the rain — and thus become fish in a barrel as Leatherface shows up armed with his trusty chainsaw.

Mirroring the world of today, everyone on the bus instinctively grabs their phone and begins to record. A single onlooker bizarrely utters the words “Try anything, and you’re canceled,” which cues Leatherface to unleash havoc. He drives the tip of the chainsaw into the Twitter guardian's chest and begins to cut down anyone and everything in his path.

4 Chainsaw Skewer On The Bus

During the bus scene, Leatherface turns it into a slaughterhouse with his chainsaw, hacking and slashing everyone in his path. There's an infinite amount of blood, guts, and carnage as Melody and her sister try to escape the havoc.

In one truly visceral scene, Leatherface impales a man attempting to flee from behind; the blade of the chainsaw slices through him like butter. Instead of stopping there, Leatherface pushes forward to a girl trapped against a wall and also impales her, giving the chainsaw a rev and shredding both of them to pieces.

3 Caroline Gets Caught Halfway

Another scene from the bus slaughter has Leatherface going berserk; he’s swinging his chainsaw wildly, reveling in the chaos he’s creating, taking vengeance on the people who disrupted his quiet life. Jessica Allain's character, Catherine, panics trying to find a way out since the back emergency exit refuses to budge. She opens a window and proceeds to try and crawl out.

Unfortunately, Leatherface notices and turns his fury on her. He brings the chainsaw directly down the middle of her back and slices her in half. Catherine's torso slides out of the window and onto the street, leaving pieces of intestine behind while her bottom half sinks into the seat, still twitching.

2 Sally Gets Impaled

Olwen Fouéré plays Sally Hardesty, the only survivor of the original events of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Over the years, she turned from victim to hunter, training herself as a ranger looking for the monster that murdered her friends all those years ago. The film comes to a head as Sally finally meets Leatherface face to face, wielding a shotgun.

Time has not been kind to Sally, while Leatherface is still freakishly spry for his age. Leatherface drives his chainsaw into Sally and lifts her up off the ground, revving the engine and disemboweling her before throwing her to the side amongst the trash.

1 Melody Gets Snatched

Following the film's climax, the two sisters Melody and Lila stand victorious over the mangled corpse of Leatherface as he slowly bleeds out and drowns in a hole in the floor in one of the abandoned buildings. The two rejoice in their victory and climb inside Dante’s Tesla, programming the autopilot to go home. The tension subsides, and Melody and Lila joke about deciding to stay in Harlow.

These are truly regretful words, as Leatherface reemerges and snatches Melody out of the car window taking his chainsaw and severing her head. Lila can only watch from the auto-piloting car as her sister is beheaded right in front of her, a truly bizarre scene that leaves the Texas Chainsaw Massacre legacy open-ended.
