Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered was missing a few features when it first released, but a new update is looking to change all that. The game's second major patch is available now and addresses some of the issues that many fans had with the title. In addition to this, there are also some changes made to allow for better performance when playing the game on pro variants and next generation consoles.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit initially released in 2010, but November of 2020 saw a remastered version come to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Not long after that happened, lucky players managed to get their hands on the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but there wasn't much difference between playing the game on the old consoles compared to the new.

In this update, players will now be able to play in 4K resolution at a steady 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions are also able to run at 50 FPS now. Alongside these technical upgrades, the new Livery Editor will allow players to customize their cars in a manner that is similar to Need for Speed: Heat's customization.

Unfortunately, these custom wraps cannot be shared among friends, so players will have to design their own. For those that don't feel like spending the time and creative energy to do so, there are some premade wraps that players can use to spice things up a bit with ease. This update is available free now for all players.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
