Streum On Studios have showcased a brand new trailer flaunting the details of its upcoming Warhammer 40K title. Necromunda: Hired Gun, Streum On's second foray into the Warhammer 40K universe, is set to have a hefty focus on brutal bounty hunting, morally dubious life choices, and tactically augmented pets well befitting the dystopian rat-race that is Necromunda.

The trailer documents the day to day life of the titular Hired Gun, breezing through the cramped corridors packed with gangsters and cutthroats, highlighting the heart of the game's operations: the bounty board. In the bowels of the Hive-city of Necromunda, players won't be seeing the biggest foes Warhammer 40K has to offer, but bold hired guns will be able to face down a variety of threats like the huge, armored Ambot.

Players will be able to simply pick the job they want and get to work- one of the pleasures of being self-employed in such a dour setting, to be sure. Depending on mindset, the work is a pleasure as well, with the trailer showcasing gameplay of the protagonist ruthlessly cutting down swathes of marked men with a host of weaponry that Warhammer 40K fans will immediately recognize, while their cyber-mastiff companion gleefully helps out to the chirps of a squeaky toy (that may just be the corpse of a rat).

As well as the Necromunda: Hired Gun's shooting, movement takes precedent as well, with wall-running and moving sections of the environment giving viability to an acrobatic approach. More direct players can still opt for simply taking the biggest gun they can lay their hands on and getting to work that way- echoing Streum On's previous 40K title, Space Hulk: Deathwing. Games Workshop is heavily pushing Warhammer titles of late, with Hired Gun being the second Necromunda title recently.

Necromunda: Hired Gun is releasing on June 1 digitally for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a physical release on June 30.
