How to Make Every Type of Pass
- Icon Pass: Press the R1/RB button to activate the button icons over your team's heads. Press an indicated button to pass the ball to the corresponding player. You can also flick the right stick in a player's direction while holding R1/RB to pass.
- Lob Pass: Press the Triangle/Y button to throw an overhead pass to a teammate. Use this pass to throw the ball over the heads of defenders at long distances.
- Bounce Pass: Press the Circle/B button to bounce the ball once towards a teammate. This is useful at shorter distances against defenders who like to keep their hands in the air.
- Chest Pass: Press the X/A button to make a regular chest pass to a teammate.
- Alley Oop: Double tap the Triangle/Y button towards a teammate. Double tap the Triangle/Y button towards the basket to set up yourself for an Alley Oop. Press the X and Circle buttons/A and B buttons at the same time to make a bounce pass Alley Oop.

How to Fake Pass
Faking a pass is simple. Press the Triangle & Circle/Y & B buttons at the same time to psyche out defenders. Point your player with the right stick to fake pass in a specific direction. Keep in mind that faking a pass will stop your player from dribbling the ball, forcing a pass-or-shoot situation.
