A small forward in NBA 2K24 can, and perhaps should, do everything. Whether it's shooting from deep, making highlight reel dunks, swiping the ball away, blocking shots, rebounding, or making the perfect pass, a small forward is the position of choice for players who want in on all of the action.
And that's also why choosing a great location is so important. Selecting the wrong team may force the small forward to play center or point guard for most of their careers instead of getting the freedom to do anything. NBA 2K24 offers many teams to join as a small forward but only a few of them will make for successful careers.
Phoenix Suns
PG | Devin Booker | 94 |
SG | Bradley Beal | 86 |
SF | Josh Okogie | 77 |
PF | Kevin Durant | 96 |
C | Deandre Ayton | 83 |
The Suns are blatantly in win-now mode and making trades to do it. However, despite all this, they've got a glaring hole at the small forward position. Josh Okogie will be holding the team pack. If the MyPlayer joins the Suns, the whole team is ready to roll.
Kevin Durant is one of the best power forwards and Devin Booker is also a top talent at point guard. This whole team can score so playing as a small forward here will result in racking up loads of assists. Seeing as how important passing is in the modern game, it should be an easy rookie championship for anybody who lands in Phoenix.
Cleveland Cavaliers
PG | Darius Garland | 86 |
SG | Donovan Mitchell | 92 |
SF | Isaac Okoro | 76 |
PF | Evan Mobley | 85 |
C | Jarrett Allen | 83 |
The situation isn't great at small forward in Cleveland and they could use an upgrade from Isaac Okoro. That aside, the rest of the team is average or better. Don't forget about scoring machine Donovan Mitchell who is one of the best shooting guards in the game.
The team here could use some more interior scoring. Gamers who want to make a small forward who excels at slamming the ball home will find they'll get plenty of space from their teammates in Cleveland. If opponents try to close the lanes, simply pass to the exterior for a free assist.
Sacramento Kings
PG | De'Aaron Fox | 88 |
SG | Kevin Huerter | 80 |
SF | Harrison Barnes | 79 |
PF | Keegan Murray | 80 |
C | Domantas Sabonis | 87 |
The Kings finally made the playoffs last season, ending what was the longest playoff drought in NBA history at sixteen years. This is a hopeful and young squad that is surprisingly talented and looking for a spark plug who can be a true superstar.
Veteran gamers love to play on teams like Sacramento. Harrison Barnes is the only subpar player and can easily be replaced by the MyPlayer. After that, because the team has none of the highest-rated players, the gamer can then be the true superstar in Sacramento without any competition.
Washington Wizards
PG | Tyus Jones | 79 |
SG | Jordan Poole | 82 |
SF | Bilal Coulibaly | 73 |
PF | Kyle Kuzma | 83 |
C | Daniel Gafford | 77 |
The advantage of playing in Washington is simple. Bilal Coulibaly isn't just a mere liability at small forward, he's tied for the lowest-rated starter at any position in the game. Players who choose Washington will be able to step onto the court and replace him almost instantly.
Be warned that this is a poor team in other aspects too. The Wizards are a team in need of a point guard and center as well. It's a mess. But gamers who want to pad their stats and be everything to a team with as many minutes as possible will find that this is the best team to join.
Detroit Pistons
PG | Cade Cunningham | 84 |
SG | Jaden Ivey | 80 |
SF | Ausar Thompson | 76 |
PF | Bojan Bogdanovich | 82 |
C | Jalen Duren | 79 |
The Pistons are in dire need of a small forward to replace Ausar Thompson which can be done quickly. After that, this team is about average. The team shouldn't blow their assignments but they certainly aren't going to win much without some real help.
And this is exactly what some players love to do. They could use some help defensively on the inside, so prepare to get both blocks and steals with a small forward in Detroit. It's a good place to truly be the star in every statistical metric.
NBA 2K24 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
