NBA 2K21Â is a title filled with many fun modes and interconnected features. One mode, in particular, has become one of the cornerstones of the series--MyCareer. In NBA 2K21, MyCareer allows players to create a MyPlayer basketball star, starting out in high school, progressing to be an NBA all-star, and dominating the neighborhood as a blacktop champion. But MyCareer has a rather big question that needs to be answered early on, which will affect some of the progression moving forward.
Once a player gets through high school and college in NBA 2K21, which includes multiple NCAA teams, they will be ready to enter into the NBA draft. But just as soon as they are about to start the pre-draft process, the player will be presented an interesting opportunity: selecting an agent to represent them moving forward.
As a part of the story of MyCareer in NBA 2K21, Archie Baldwin will help get the MyPlayer's ranking and overall reputation up to move from high school ball to receiving college scholarships. Even though college, Archie will be there as a support, as someone who is a family friend as well. However, now that the MyPlayer has moved onto being a possible big-name prospect for the NBA, a larger agent organization has arrived, with Harper Dell leading the way, and a decision must be made.
The Positives of Choosing Archie Baldwin
When choosing Archie, he gets a lower commission from endorsements, meaning the player takes in more money. However, the endorsements will present themselves less often, as Archie doesn't have quite the same pull in the business world. Archie will also bring a larger fanbase in the new neighborhood in NBA 2K21, where the MyPlayer can dominate in Pro-Am and pick-up action. Additionally, players who select Archie have better team chemistry, thanks to the loyalty of sticking with a family friend. Archie also has relationships with the likes of Adidas, Puma, and Gatorade.
The Positives of Choosing Harper Dell
Harper Dell provides endorsements more often than Archie, however, she takes a higher cut (meaning the take home for the player is a bit less). Harper will also bring in a larger fan base in the NBA, as fans will grow at a faster rate, which means more endorsements again. After using the face scan in NBA 2K21 especially, its fun to see the MyPlayer get many endorsements. The team chemistry will not be as strong initially with Harper. However, negative team chemistry (from losses or poor performance) will be lessened with Harper.
Especially early on, when the young NBA MyPlayer is starving for VC/upgrade points, receiving endorsements more often with the help of Harper seems like a solid choice. The fans will grow rapidly and the opportunities will present themselves. However, over the long haul of NBA 2K21 Archie is a solid choice. Once the MyPlayer gets going and builds up a fanbase with success on the court, becoming the best point guard in the league perhaps, the endorsements will come and the payout will be large. Plus, Archie has sentimental value, being someone who is a family friend and who helped throughout the entire journey.
