The Senrigan was recently introduced in the sequel to the Naruto series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations as an extremely overpowered ability. Fans are already used to seeing powerful ocular techniques in the world of Naruto. They debuted with the Sharingan back at the beginning of the story and, eventually, the Byakugan and the Rinnegan were added to the mix. Later on in the story, fans could also see other powerful visual techniques such as the Ketsuryugan and even the powerful Tenseigan of the Otsutsuki Clan.
As time went on, only more of these powerful eyes have been introduced in the story and, Boruto recently saw the introduction of yet another incredible eye the powers of which can actually be considered godly, and this eye is named the Senrigan.
What Is The Senrigan?
The Senrigan is a powerful eye the classification of which is not known just yet. As most Dojutsu are usually classified to be either Kekkei Genkai or, in some cases get Kekkei Mora, the classification of this eye is likely the former. Because it is godly in nature, and not much information has been revealed about it just yet, it is possible for this eye to be something else entirely. The Senrigan is a bright blue eye with a crescent shape inside it. It grants the user incredible power and allows them to be omnipresent, essentially. The user of the Senrigan can project themselves anywhere in the world, even in a different dimension. They can see and hear everything going on at any place in the world and that is truly a fearsome power.
The ability to oversee the happenings of the world is not limited to the current timeline. In fact, the user of the Senrigan can also see the past, which makes this ability even more dangerous. However, the past can only be seen up to the point where the user was born. Anything before that is not accessible to them at all. At the same time, the future is also not accessible to the Senrigan users. Another weakness of this eye is the fact that conversations existing in a different plane of existence are not accessible to the users. As such, the technique that Yamanaka Clan uses to convey information cannot be accessed by the users of the Senrigan. Despite that, the abilities of the Senrigan are powerful enough already and make the user of this eye Omnipresent, in a way.
The First User Of Senrigan
The Senrigan was only recently introduced in the Naruto franchise, however, it has been in existence for centuries upon centuries. In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that the Senrigan actually predates all the Three Great Dojutsu of the Sharingan, the Byakugan, and the Rinnegan. This eye was first wielded by none other than Shibai Otsutsuki. Fans were recently introduced to Shibai in Boruto and, it was revealed that he was the strongest Otsutsuki to ever exist. Shibai was extremely powerful and he went on from planet to planet consuming chakra fruits. At the same time, he kept using the Karma to resurrect himself over and over again and grow stronger. Eventually, he reached a point where he attained godhood and gained techniques that were classified as Shinjutsu.
The Senrigan of Shibai Otsutsuki is a manifestation of the Shinjutsu power. Eventually, Shibai Otsutsuki reached a point where he didn't feel the need for a mortal body anymore. He left his body behind and ascended to a different realm of existence as an Otsutsuki God. This means that Shibai is still possibly alive in the world of Boruto and, likely, his Senrigan is still accessible to him, as well as possibly even stronger than ever before.
The Current User Of Senrigan
After Shibai Otsutsuki left his body behind, his remains were found somehow by Amado, the genius scientist of Kara. He used the DNA of Shibai to create Ada and Daemon. Ada was specifically created to make sure that his daughter came back to life. However, Amado failed in his mission. Despite that, Ada was blessed with the powers of Shinjutsu and she possesses two of these overpowered abilities. As fans know already, Ada is a user of the Senrigan and this power has manifested in her left eye already. The Senrigan that she possesses is royal blue in color and has a crescent moon inside it.
Ada can easily project her consciousness anywhere in the world at any point, including different dimensions. Essentially, she is the all-knowing who has all the answers to every problem. The other ability that Ada also possesses is known as Omnipotence. This is also a Shinjutsu that she inherited from Shibai Otsutsuki. Using this power, Ada can essentially turn her deepest desires into a reality with ease. Since she desired to be loved, everyone around her is immediately charmed by her presence, even if she isn't trying to charm them. At the same time, fans also saw her use this ability recently to make sure Kawaki's desires came to life as well.
