Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest ninjas in the Naruto world, if not the strongest. Although far from being a genius, Naruto has worked hard his entire life and climbed his way from the very bottom to where he is now. Along the way, Naruto has improved his skill in all the Ninja arts, especially ninjutsu too.

RELATED: Naruto: How Strong Is Sakura?Under the tutelage of Kakashi and also one of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, Naruto learned quite a lot of powerful Jutsu. Perhaps one of his most iconic techniques is none other than the Rasengan, which is a memento from the Fourth Hokage, passed down to him. On its own, the Rasengan is quite powerful, however, Naruto managed to take this jutsu to the next level and ended up creating one of the most fearsome abilities in the entire series with it, called the Rasenshuriken.

The Basis For The Rasenshuriken

To understand how the Rasenshuriken works, one needs to understand the basis for this jutsu, which is the Rasengan. The Rasengan was created by one other than the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure, Minato Namikaze. He created this technique after observing a Tailed Beast Ball and ended up creating a jutsu that was suitable to his battle style. By compressing and rotating chakra in his palm, Minato was able to create a devastating technique that tore into his enemies. This jutsu was special as it required no hand seals, yet was more effective than most techniques seen in the series. It also suited Minato's fighting style because he was known for his speed and had earned the moniker of Konoha's Yellow Flash.

As such, a technique that didn't require hand seals was perfect for him. However, creating the Rasengan wasn't where he intended to stop. In fact, Minato considered the Rasengan to be an incomplete jutsu. To complete this technique, he intended to apply nature transformation to it and create an even stronger technique. Unfortunately, Minato met his end before he could accomplish this task and even Jiraiya didn't seem to particularly care about it. Ultimately, this fell on Naruto's shoulders and he was the one to complete the Rasengan.

How The Was Rasenshuriken Created

Following his defeat to Sasuke, Naruto realized that he was still ways off and required further training. Kakashi, knowing Naruto's skill set, suggested that he trained under him. The purpose of the training was to create Naruto's very own jutsu by improving on the Rasengan. According to Kakashi, Naruto was the only one capable of surpassing the Fourth Hokage and, as such, he trained him to accomplish a task that Minato failed at. Normally, completing the Rasengan would have been a task that took Naruto years to complete, however, his Uzumaki lineage and the Nine-Tails chakra aided him in learning this process much faster. By making use of the Shadow Clone Jutsu, Naruto acquired weeks' worth of experience within a matter of hours. Doing this continuously for a long period of time allowed him to accumulate a vast amount of experience in a very short matter of time.

At first, Naruto, expectedly, struggled at accomplishing this task and couldn't do it with just one shadow clone. However, after days of practice, he figured out a way to maintain the shape and apply nature transformation to the jutsu at the same time. By making use of two shadow clones instead of one, Naruto managed both tasks at once and ended up creating a devastating jutsu which he named the Rasenshuriken. The Rasenshuriken sees the Rasengan being completed and, as such, the base of this jutsu is this sphere of chakra. Upon the application of Wind Release, the Rasengan grows giant blades around it which rotate at an extremely high speed. Initially, Naruto struggled to throw this jutsu at his enemies, however, with time, he mastered this art as well.

How Strong Is The Rasenshuriken?

Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken

It goes without saying that the Rasenshuriken is one of the strongest techniques of Naruto Uzumaki in the entire series. When compared to the Rasengan its power is exponentially greater. The Rasenshuriken is a jutsu that damages the enemy at a cellular level. Once hit, this jutsu explodes and creates a massive vortex of several microscopic wind scythes which tear into the chakra circulatory system and the cells of the target. The number of cuts delivered ensure that the target loses their ability to mold chakra and the damage is so ridiculous that even medical ninjutsu doesn't work on it.

The Rasenshuriken debuted in the fight against Kakuzu and when Naruto used it on him successfully, it managed to destroy all three of his remaining hearts at once. According to Kakashi, the power of this jutsu was such that he couldn't count the numerous microscopic cuts that it delivered to Kakuzu even with his Sharingan. With time, Naruto's usage of the Rasenshuriken improved even further and he can now use this technique without any shadow clones. As with many other of his techniques, the Rasenshuriken is an indication of him being a true genius in battle and goes to show that he's a frightening shinobi, after all.
