There is no shortage of fighting styles in the series. Some rely on pure swordsmanship, while others apply their preferred nature release to amplify the strength of their sword. The Naruto series has no shortage of talented swordsmen and with that in mind, here are ten of the best swordsmen in Naruto.

10 Zabuza Momochi

Zabuza Momochi was one of the best villains in the Naruto series. He was introduced in Prologue- Land of Waves arc and posed a serious threat to Team 7 and their mission. Zabuza's skills earned him the epithet of the "Demon of the Mist."

Zabuza possessed the Kubikiribocho and wielded it masterfully. His feats speak for himself and he was highly revered in the Hidden Mist. Zabuza was able to cause problems for Kakashi Hatake, who is among the most talented ninjas in the series.

9 Darui

Darui is one of the most underrated characters in Naruto. He was a student of the Third Rikage(the strongest Raikage), who taught him how to use Black Lightning, and then he went on to serve in Lightning A's personal guard. He was able to fight and defeat the likes of Kinkaku and Ginkaku.

​​​​​​After the culmination of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Darui became the Fifth Raikage of the Hidden Cloud. In Boruto, he displayed his swordsmanship when he fought against Kinshiki Otsutsuki, an extraterrestrial with immense strength.

8 Kakashi Hatake

One of the most talented ninjas in the series, Kakashi Hatake is an incredibly strong character. Kakashi played a key role in the Shinobi Alliance's triumph over Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Kakashi inherited his father's chakra blade and learned to use it quite handsomely. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi displayed his skill with the sword when he used the Kubikiribocho, one of the seven legendary swords of the Hidden Mist, without any problems.

7 Kisame Hoshigaki

Kisame Hoshigaki was a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He was a ruthless ninja, who would never compromise the security of his mission. He wielded the Samehada and was an expert at swinging it. He went on to become a rogue ninja and joined the Akatsuki.

Kisame was a fearsome swordsman, and with the Samehada by his side, he was able to take on and get the better of several jinchuriki. Kisame's strength allowed him to fight the likes of Might Guy, Killer B, etc.

6 Mangetsu Hozuki

Also known as the Second Coming of the Demon, Mangetsu Hozuki was a member of the strongest generation of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He was able to master all the seven legendary swords in the Hidden Mist, which shows how talented he was as a swordsman.

Primarily, Mangetsu used the Hiramekarei in fights. Despite being revived without his sword in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Mangetsu was able to survive for a good amount of time.

5 Chojuro

Currently serving as the Sixth Mizukage, Chojuro is an exceptional swordsman. Before becoming the Mizukage himself, Chojuro served as the retainer for Mei Terumi, the Fifth Mizukage. Chojuro wields the Hiramekarei, which is one of the legendary blades from the Hidden Mist. The blade was previously wielded by Suigetsu's older brother, Mangetsu Hozuki.

Chojuro mastered the blade and he has displayed his prowess with it on various occasions. In Boruto, Chojuro was able to take on the likes of Kinshiki Otsutsuki and kept the latter at bay with his swordsmanship.

4 Mifune ​​​​​

He was introduced during the Five Kage Summit arc. Mifune is an incredible swordsman from the Land of Iron. In his prime, Mifune was able to take on Hanzo of the Salamander, who was able to beat the Legendary Sannin on his own. Hanzo acknowledged the strength of the samurai, and the two would face each other years later in the Fourth Great Ninja War.

3 Orochimaru

Orochimaru is one of the members of the Legendary Sannin. He is an all-rounder, who excels at everything. Orochimaru's intelligence and experiments allowed him to master all kinds of techniques. He is among the few characters who have wielded a named sword. His sword, Kusanagi, is highly durable and he can hide it within his body.

Orochimaru's swordsmanship has allowed him to fight against strong Kenjutsu users. He has displayed his skill in the fight versus Log, which is a clear indication that Orochimaru is not a pushover.

2 Killer B

Killer B is the younger brother Lightning A. At a very young age, he was turned into the jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails. With time, Killer B gained control over the Eight-Tails and became a perfect jinchuriki, thus, unlocking immense power.

Killer B is an immensely gifted swordsman; capable of wielding eight swords at once. The ninja from the Hidden Cloud village is able to add Lightning Release to his swords, which increases their cutting power. With his swordsmanship, Killer B was able to overwhelm Sasuke Uchiha.

Known as the Shadow Kage, Sasuke Uchiha is one of the strongest ninjas in the entire series. After gaining the Rinnegan during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Sasuke's strength skyrocketed and he became the only person capable of keeping up with Naruto Uzumaki.

Arguably, Sasuke is the most diverse fighter in the series. He can use Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and even Taijutsu at a very high level. Sasuke's swordsmanship is not bad either, he was able to kill countless samurai during the Five Kage summit.
