Sakura Haruno is one of the most iconic female characters in anime and manga. As one of the main characters in Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga, Sakura is a member of Team 7, alongside Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha.
Although she isn't focused on in the series as much as her other two teammates, Sakura is still an important part of the story and has achieved great things over the course of time. While some achievements are massive, others are small that not many fans have taken note of. As such, she is a character who deserves more credit and more respect from the fans, in general, for everything that she's achieved.
6 Learned Medical Ninjutsu
Medical ninjutsu is an art that few people have mastered in the Naruto world. As the name suggests, this jutsu focuses on healing instead of hurting others. Every team has a healer capable of using medical ninjutsu to a certain extent, however, Sakura is different. Her training under one of the Legendary Sannin, Tsunade, meant that Sakura mastered this art to perfection.
Her skills go beyond a regular medic and this makes her one of the most useful characters in the entire story. Thankfully for Naruto and Sasuke, she was assigned to their team.
5 Mastered The Byakugou
If learning medical ninjutsu was a great accomplishment for Sakura, mastering the Byakugou is something that's even more impressive. The Byakugou requires the user to constantly store their chakra at a particular point for an extended period of time. For Sakura, this was a period of 3 years where she was constantly storing small amounts of chakra on her forehead at all times.
It was during the 4th Great Ninja War that her abilities finally reached their pinnacle and she was able to master the Byakugou seal. When unleashed, it gives her the power to regenerate without forming any hand seals and a tremendous boost in strength, regeneration, speed, and physical power.
4 Surpassed Tsunade Senju
Tsunade is a legendary ninja in the world of Naruto and is held in similar regard to the likes of Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Her legendary status is known throughout the world and she was one of the key reasons why Konoha had been successful in previous wars. When Sakura saw both Naruto and Sasuke pull ahead of her thanks to their teachers, she asked Tsunade for guidance and ended up becoming her apprentice.
During the time she spent under her, Sakura learned everything there was to learn about medical ninjutsu. At the same time she also learned the way of ninjutsu in general and her combat skills improved drastically. By the Fourth Great Ninja War, Sakura had managed to take her skills to the next level. Come its end, she had surpassed her master, Tsunade Senju, by a mile.
3 Gained Genjutsu Immunity
Genjutsu is one of the three main jutsu types in the Naruto world. This one, in particular, affects the sensory perception of the target and casts great illusions on them. There are certain masters of Genjutsu in the story, such as those of the Uchiha, among many others.
Sakura gained immunity to these jutsu after the end of the 4th Great Ninja War. This was shown to the fans in The Last: Naruto the Movie, where Sakura was the only one not affected by the Genjutsu trap set by Toneri.
2 Saved Naruto From Certain Death
Naruto Uzumaki is usually a character who saves the day, however, he isn't invincible. Naruto has needed help on several occasions and in The Last: Naruto the Movie, he was facing certain death after Toneri knocked his chakra out of his body.
Without his chakra, Naruto would certainly have died. It was Sakura who poured her o wn chakra into him for over 2 days to finally bring him back to consciousness. Had it not been for her, the legend of Naruto would certainly have ended right there.
1 Competed With Naruto And Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke are monstrous Shinobi. They are people who, at their best, could easily ravage continents and possibly even destroy planets. Yet, Sakura was able to keep up with them for the majority of the story. This in itself is an achievement and one that certainly deserves plaudits. She has been relative to them for the vast majority of the journey.
Even in the 4th Great Ninja War, she caught up to them eventually for a short period of time, before they pulled ahead of her once again. Despite that, Sakura is an exceptional ninja who, back in her days, was comparable to the likes of Naruto and Sasuke. Without a doubt, she is a kunoichi worthy of respect. As more time passed, Sakura has only grown even more influential in the Boruto series. She's played a great role in advancing the medical unit in Konoha and is well respected throughout not just Konoha, but the entire world as a legendary war hero.
