Sasuke Uchiha has had an intriguing role to play in Boruto. As one of the strongest ninjas of this time, Sasuke has a huge responsibility thrust on his shoulders by the ninja world. Sadly, the Boruto series certainly has not treated him with the respect that he deserved. To begin with, Sasuke did not get many opportunities to shine in the Boruto series, and eventually, he ended up getting dealt a very bad fate, when Momoshiki stabbed his Rinnegan, stripping him of his biggest power.

Boruto Could Get Canceled And Here's Why

If that wasn't enough, Sasuke then got turned into a tree, and now, he's completely removed from the manga, at least for the foreseeable future. Still, fans are adamant that Sasuke will return to the story at some point, and with his return, he might actually end up bringing the Rinnegan.

How Sasuke Lost His Rinnegan

Sasuke Uchiha took part in many important battles in the Boruto series. In the beginning, fans saw that he was tracking down the remaining Otsutsuki, and as soon as he found out about Kinshiki and Momoshiki, he ended up engaging in combat with the former. Sasuke held his own incredibly well against Kinshiki, and later down the line, he took part in combat against Momoshiki as well. In this fight, Sasuke certainly did get his opportunity to shine, which was spectacular for the fans to see. Later down the line, however, Sasuke was largely cut out from the story.

After he was defeated by Jigen, one would expect Sasuke to play an important role in the fight against Isshiki. Surprisingly, the battle against the Isshiki was largely dominated by him and Sasuke took another beating quite easily at the very beginning of the fight. At the end of it, he ended up losing his Rinnegan for absolutely no reason. It was Momoshiki, who, in the end, took Sasuke by surprise and stabbed his Rinnegan, destroying it completely. With that, Sasuke ended up losing the vast majority of his powers, and fans were utterly devastated to see a legend from the Naruto series, who had built himself up from scratch, get destroyed in the way that he did, just for the sake of the Boruto series.

The Ways To Recover The Rinnegan

For Sasuke, recovering the Rinnegan is quite difficult. As fans might remember, Sasuke ended up awakening the Rinnegan after he met Hagoromo, the Sage of Six Paths. He received half of Hagoromo’s chakra, and this resulted in him awakening the Rinnegan in his left eye. This Rinnegan was quite overpowered, however, just in one eye, and it was clear for the fans to see that he would most certainly not awaken it in his second eye. His one eye was powerful enough and the source of his Six Paths powers. Now that Sasuke has lost his eye, there is absolutely no chance for him to awaken this power again in the right eye. Still, that doesn't mean that Sauske won't have access to the Rinnegan ever. There is a way for Sasuke to regain his Rinnegan true interesting means.

A lot of the fans have questioned as to why Sasuke did not use the Izanagi immediately after his Rinnegan was stabbed and sacrificed one Mangekyo Sharingan for the Rinnegan. This would have been quite a wise move. It would have saved Sasuke, and at the same time, would have made it so that he kept his Six Paths powers. As to why Sasuke never did it, the answer is that the author never thought about it and that many plot points in Boruto are poorly constructed. Theoretically, Sasuke should have been able to use Izanagi to bring his eye back. Now, however, it appears that this task is difficult.

3 years have gone since Sasuke lost his Rinnegan and for the Izanagi to work doesn't look all that likely. This would have been the perfect way for the author to give Sasuke the opportunity to get his Rinnegan back, especially at a cheaper price. Losing the Mangekyo Sharingan would have made sure that Sasuke still made a sacrifice to get the Rinnegan back, however, now, that doesn't appear to be a possibility.

The Role Of Ada In Getting Sasuke's Rinnegan

The are other ways through which Sasuke’s Rinnegan can come back to him. This is possible through the jutsu of Omnipotence. Omnipotence, as the fans never, is a technique that can actually bring into reality anything that the user wishes for. This is a technique that belongs to Shibai Otsutsuki and it is one of the strongest jutsu to have ever existed. Using the power of Omnipotence, anything is possible. Even history itself can be changed with the power of Omnipotence, as friends have seen them already.

Using this Jutsu, gods can alter the entire world and for Sasuke to regain his Rinnegan is surely a possibility as well. However, to achieve this, Sasuke would need the help of none other than Ada. As friends know already, Asa does not have control over Omnipotence just yet. She has used Omnipotence twice in her life. The first time she used it, she made it so that everyone in the world was bewitched by her. Anyone other than Otsutsuki fell to this ability and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

The second time she used this ability was unknowingly, and she used it to bring Kawaki's desire to life. Kawaki wanted to swap his life with Boruto and take his place. He was successfully able to do that with the power of Omnipotence. While Ada does not know how to utilize the power of Omnipotence just yet, she can certainly master this ability at some point in the future. If she manages to do that, given that she is an ally of Konoha, especially that of Boruto Uzumaki, she can end up helping the ninjas who suffered greatly for the cause of everlasting peace. As such, if Ada gains mastery over Omnipotence, then she can use this power to bring back Sasuke home again. This is certainly a very big possibility as to how Sasuke can regain his former powers.

There's another way for Sasuke to gain this powerful eye. As friends know, Sasuke's Shinju clone, called Hidari, was introduced recently in the series. He thought he was created from Sasuke's very old DNA, and he has both his Rinnegan intact given that this is Sasuke's very own DNA, his body should be compatible with the Rinnegan. Clearly, there are ways for Sasuke to regain his powers, and all fans need to do is sit back and wait.
