Masashi Kishimoto is finally making his Naruto return later this summer with his Minato one-shot manga. Earlier this year, the results of the global popularity poll of Naruto were announced and Kishimoto promised the fans that he would draw a one-shot manga based on whoever ends up winning the poll.

Minato, the Fourth Hokage of Konoha, ended up winning the poll, meaning the author now has to deliver a Minato one-shot to the fans. Minato is a character full of mysteries and fans have been waiting to see more about his life ever since his introduction. Sadly, the main story never gave fans a proper look into his life. That could be remedied here through the Minato one-shot that Kishimoto is all set to illustrate later this summer.

6 Minato And The Uzumaki Clan

Kushina Uzumaki fought alongside her husband moments after giving birth

Minato Namikaze was married to Kushina and she was one of the most important members of the Uzumaki Clan. It is believed that thanks to Kushina, Minato was able to learn several of their Sealing Techniques. When the Nine-Tails attacked Konoha, fans saw him use these techniques to avert the disaster that Kurama was about to cause. Sadly, fans didn't see Minato ever delving into the secrets of the Uzumaki Clan or learning their techniques themselves.

It was only mentioned in the story, however, it would be great for the author to actually show Minato diving deeper into the secrets of the Uzumaki Clan. Fans already know that this Clan was incredibly powerful and possessed some very intriguing Sealing Techniques. Minato trying to learn them and, perhaps, even coming across texts of the legendary figures who created these techniques would be very interesting to see in the Minato one-shot.

5 How Minato Learned The Flying Raijin

Flying Raijin Kunai

One of the greatest strengths of Minato Namikaze is his ability to teleport. He uses a powerful technique called Flying Raijin and, over the years, he became a master of this skill. This technique was developed by none other than Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage of Konoha. With time, Minato made it his own and improved upon its usage drastically, perfecting it in the process.

In the Fourth Great Ninja War, it was quite clear to see that Minato's version of this jutsu was much superior and better. Sadly, fans never got to see him work on this or even see how he learned it in the first place. If Kishimoto were to include that in the Minato Namikaze one-shot manga, it would be incredible for the fans to witness and they would also get a grasp of his genius, given the fact that he managed to not just learn but also improve upon its usage.

4 The Power Of Kushina Uzumaki

While Minato is an extremely important Naruto character and will be the center of attention in the one-shot manga, that certainly doesn't mean that all focus is going to be on him. Other characters, such as Kushina Uzumaki, could also receive some attention. Kushina is a character that fans have not seen much of in the story at all, other than in flashbacks.

Fans would absolutely love for this manga to focus on the Red-Hot Habanero of Konoha. Kushina might well be one of the characters who received the least focus in the original story and for the one shot to do her justice would be absolutely amazing for her character growth overall.

3 Minato's Sage Mode

Minato uses the Sage Mode

Fans found out in the 4th Great Ninja War that Minato was actually a user of the Sage Mode as well. In fact, he had even perfected the art of Sage Mode, which is highlighted by the perfect orange pigmentation around his eyes.

Despite having this power up his sleeve, Minato never really utilized it because he preferred to finish his fights much quicker. When this reveal was first made, fans were pleasantly surprised at his control over this skill, however, they would certainly love for the series to focus on how exactly he gained a grasp of his power. Furthermore, it isn't known to what extent he can use this ability in the first place. In the War, Minato barely used this power and was soon incapacitated by Madara shortly afterwards. Perhaps, a look into his training on Mount Myoboku highlighting the level of control that he has over Sage Mode would be fun for the fans to see.

2 How He Studied The Tailed Beast Ball

Minato is the creator of the Rasengan in the Naruto series. This jutsu is very iconic and it was passed from one generation to another, living on even today. It can be said that the Rasengan is one of the most, if not the most, iconic jutsu in the Naruto world. Minato created this jutsu by studying a Tailed Beast Ball. When exactly he came across a Tailed Beast to study this isn't known just yet.

Fans would absolutely love to see Minato fight off a Tailed Beast and then study the Tailed Beast Ball, which would eventually lead to the creation of the Rasengan. There are many aspects of his life that fans would love to see explored in the Minato one shot and this certainly is one of them.

1 Minato In The Third Great Ninja War

Naruto Minato Namikaze

The Third Great Ninja War is an event that cemented Mianto's legacy as a legend in the world of ninja. During this war, Minato single-handedly led Konoha to great heights and the enemies feared him so much that a "Flee On Sight" was issued. Fans got a glimpse of him in the Third Great Ninja War during Kakashi's flashbacks. However, it would be better if the story focused on this part of his life a bit more.

Minato certainly engaged in countless battles during this war and most of them remain unexplored. It would be extremely fun if the Minato One Shot focused on his exploits during the war and how he ended up becoming the Fourth Hokage, completing his dream in the process.
