Naruto Uzumaki is the Seventh Hokage and quite easily the most important character in the Naruto franchise. In Boruto, which is not his series primarily, Naruto still plays an extremely important role. He lives out his dream as the Hokage and protects his family with the Will of Fire that he has burning within himself. Naruto has fought several powerful threats in the Boruto series, however, in the latter half of the story, his powers started to diminish.

Naruto was no longer able to keep up with the powerful enemies that started to show up and, eventually, he was severely nerfed when Kurama, his Tailed Beast, was stripped away from him. Now, Naruto has no monstrous power but that is only the start of his misfortune. He has recently suffered an even more terrible fate. Despite everything, all hope isn't lost for Naruto as he could be in for a power-up later on in the story.

The Current Fate Of Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki Death in Boruto

Things started going downhill for Naruto after he fought against Isshiki Otsutsuki and paved the way for his defeat. In this fight, he made use of Baryon Mode, a powerful form that burned the power of Kurama bit by bit until there was no more of it left. Kurama ended up dying and this left Naruto in a severely weakened state, compared to the mighty foes that still existed in the world of Boruto and Naruto. Naruto did have the power of Sage Mode up his sleeve, however, that certainly isn't enough to combat the likes of Code, among other powerful members of his group. Furthermore, this was just the beginning of the downfall of the 7th Hokage of Konoha.

When Kawaki decided that he would eradicate every single Otsutsuki root and stem, he also wanted to eradicate his very own brother, Boruto. Boruto happens to be the son of Naruto Uzumaki and it was a given that he would not let Kawaki kill him. Knowing that Naruto would stand in his way, Kawaki decided to seal him away. He used his powerful space-time ninjutsu and sent him to a different dimension of Daikokuten where time does not flow at all. Now, Naruto will most likely remain there for a large portion of the story. Fans know that even after the timeskip, Naruto is still in that dimension where time doesn't flow, as was indicated by Kawaki's very own words to Boruto when the two fought atop the Hokage faces. Eventually, however, Naruto has to break free as he cannot be kept there for the rest of his life.

How Naruto Will Break Free

There are several ways for Naruto Uzumaki to break free of this dimension. The first way and, probably the easiest, is for Kawaki to free Naruto himself. This can come in two different ways. The first one would see Boruto defeat Kawaki and then make him use the Jutsu to free Naruto from that dimension. In this scenario, Naruto's fate would rest on his son, Boruto and, if he succeeds, he would eventually break free. The second way for him to break free would be for Kawaki to realize the error of his ways and free him. If Kawaki does come to the conclusion that what he did was absolutely wrong and instead of killing Boruto, he should have tried looking for ways to save him, he will certainly free Naruto from the dimension and apologize to him for how he treated him and his family.

While these are the most likely outcomes, there also exists the possibility of Sasuke breaking him free. Sasuke is one of the most important characters in the world of Naruto and to Naruto Uzumaki himself, he has been his salvation several times. Sasuke is a profound user of space-time ninjutsu, having possessed the Rinnegan for quite a long time. If Sasuke somehow manages to regain his ocular powers or, somehow access the space-time ninjutsu again, he will surely set out to save Naruto. In the meanwhile, however, Naruto Uzumaki could have gained tremendous amounts of power and it is very much possible that he will return a different man.

The Next Power Of Naruto Uzumaki

While most fans consider Naruto to be past his prime, he can still train and grow stronger. Even without Kurama, Naruto can attain great mastery of all forms of jutsu and get even stronger. The problem is, Naruto never has the time to train and as the Hokage, it is his duty to look after the village. This is one of the reasons why he was rusty as the 7th Hokage, while Sasuke eventually got up to him. Now, however, Naruto is in a dimension where time doesn't flow at all. Essentially, this means that Naruto has an eternity to train and get stronger. In this eternity, Naruto can easily devise ways to take his powers to the next level. He can improve upon his Sage Mode and develop new forms of it, or he can develop new forms of jutsu that would be unique to him. Naruto is a genius ninja and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that he can easily develop these powers, especially when he has an eternity at hand. He will not get hungry ever in that dimension and he will not age even a single day either. Naruto has the perfect conditions to get to his peak and, perhaps, even surpass it.

When Naruto returns from this dimension, he will likely have developed new techniques that will help him fight against the threat of the Otsutsuki Clan. It is highly likely that Kawaki will not get enough time to see his dream come to fruition. He wants to eradicate every single member of the Otsutsuki Clan, however, he does not possess enough power yet. He will likely train for a while during the timeskip period, and then, return to defeat Boruto. Only after that will Kawaki set out to kill all the other Otsutsuki. If Naruto is free before that, he will most likely display his new powers, whatever they are, in the fight against these alien parasites and show everyone why he is the strongest and the greatest shinobi of all time.
