These Naruto characters were wasted in the story.

Unfortunately, these clans were completely extinguished in the Naruto series, leaving behind only one or two survivors, and in some other cases, absolutely none.

5 Yuki Clan

Country: Land Of Waves

Naruto Haku Kekkai Gankei

The Yuki Clan belonged to the Land of Waves and was a very powerful clan of individuals who possessed the ability to utilize the Kekkei Genkai of Ice Release. It is because of this ability that they were ostracized and, in many cases, killed. People hid their abilities because they fared being killed, and, as a result, members of the Yuki clan spread all over the land of waves.

Many of them ended up dying and some others survived, such as Haku. Fans do not know many users of this Kekkei Genkai today and that is a clear indication that most of them faced a genocide. The Yuki clan doesn't seem to be playing any role in the future of the Naruto series.

4 Kaguya Clan

Country: Unknown

Kaguya Clan and Kaguya Otsutsuki

The Kaguya Clan was an interesting group with unknown origins. This clan is set to have direct ties to Kaguya Otsutsuki, however, how this tie was created is something that fans absolutely do not know to this day. However, their ties to Kaguya are absolute, given that some members of the clan manifest a Kekkei Genkai that Kaguya had as well. This ability is the Kekkei Genkai of Shikotsumyaku. Using this Kekkei Genkai, one can manipulate their skeletal structure, doing things such as freely altering the bone density and utilizing them in battle in incredibly efficient ways.

Shikotsumyaku is known to be the strongest Taijutsu technique in the world of Naruto and Kimimaro gave fans a glimpse of what was capable of. When it comes to the Kaguya Clan, this particular group of individuals was bloodthirsty at all times. They were known to be warmongers and charged into battle without thinking twice. In the end, it is because of their bloodlust that they met their end. In the Land of Waves, they were completely exterminated, leaving behind Kimimaro as the sole survivor. Kimimaro himself contracted an illness which there was no cure for, simply because the composition of his body was rather unique and not studied enough. He ended up dying in the battle against Gaara and Rock Lee, and, with that, the line of the Kaguya Clan came to an end.

3 Chinoike Clan

Country: Land Of Lightning

Naruto Chinoike Clan's Ketsuryugan

The Chinoike Clan was an interesting group of individuals that were introduced in Naruto quite late. This group possessed the Kekkei Genkai of the Katsuryugan, a blood-red eye that holds power that can be considered comparable to the Three Great Dojutsu.

The Five Kage are some of the most powerful characters in Boruto.

Essentially, this Kekkei Genkai gives one the ability to manipulate blood, more specifically, anything with a high iron concentration inside. It also grants great Genjutsu prowess that can be compared to the Sharingan itself. This clan was annihilated by their own members. It is believed that arguments often erupted in this clan and that they often led to bigger fights. When they were discussing whether to strike back against the Uchiha, it led to a catastrophe so great that they were completely annihilated in a single night. En Oyashiro and his daughter, Chino, were the only two survivors, and the former was very heavily involved in the massacre. This is one of the bloodiest massacres that fans have seen in the Naruto series.

2 Uzumaki Clan

Country: Land Of Whirlpools

Uzumaki's Adamantine Sealing Chains

The Uzumaki clan was a powerful group that existed in the Land of Eddies and their strength was so great that even the big villages from the five major countries feared them. They specifically mastered the arts of the sealing techniques and Konoha was seen seeking help from them on many occasions.

The Uzumaki clan continually evolved over the years and it is because of that the neighboring villages feared them and decided to attack them, leading to their utter destruction. Very few members of the Uzumaki Clan survived who had fled to different countries.

1 Uchiha Clan

Country: Land Of Fire

The Uchiha Clan from Naruto

The Uchiha genocide was certainly one of the biggest ones carried out in Naruto and it had two perpetrators behind it, Itachi and Obito. Of course, the ones pulling the strings from behind the shadows were likes of Danzo, while the one who set the basis for this was none other than Tobirama Senju. Essentially, the Uchiha were always mistreated in Konoha and were treated as second-class citizens in their own village.

They were ostracized to a degree where they had to deal with a lot of prejudice every single day. Eventually, they decided to rebel in a bloodless revolution and take over the village. Before that happened, Itachi Uchiha collaborated with Obito and stabbed his own people in the back, killing everyone, from old people to children themselves. Itachi fled the village and left behind only Sasuke as the sole survivor of the Uchiha genocide.
