Nadia Amine has taken to social media to claim that Activision blacklisted her from participating in Call of Duty tournaments for posting bikini pictures. The American entertainer consequently accused the publisher of having double standards for men and women.

Amine started her Twitch career in late 2021, when she began streaming largely Call of Duty-focused gaming content on her Nadia channel. The endeavor really took off come summer 2022, when Nadia's broadcasts started averaging thousands of viewers instead of mere hundreds. As of early 2024, the Florida-born and -based internet personality has around 1.2 million followers on Twitch, and is considered to be one of the platform's rising stars. While her career hasn't been entirely free of controversy, Twitch has only banned Nadia once as of today.

Be that as it may, it would appear that Nadia has now suffered another notable setback in the form of a blanket ban on participating in Call of Duty tournaments. That's according to the streamer herself, who has recently taken to Twitter to claim that Activision blacklisted her from all of its official eSports events related to the hit FPS series. This is "all for posting bikini pictures" online, Nadia wrote to her 235,000 followers on January 3.

Elaborating on this turn of events, the streamer indirectly accused Activision of having double standards for men and women by claiming that the former can get away with posting their bare behinds on social media, while bikini pictures are apparently a step too far. While some of Nadia's followers reacted in agreement, a number of Twitter users also expressed doubts about her claims. Some of the latter opined that the ban is possibly related to past allegations of Nadia cheating at Call of Duty: Warzone events.

Looking at the slightly bigger picture, Activision does have a history of blacklisting Call of Duty players from its professional circuit for a variety of reasons. However, the publisher's past bans dished out based on social media activity have been primarily geared toward sanctioning hateful and otherwise toxic behavior. Removing anyone from the pro circuit over swimwear photos would be a largely unprecedented move for the company.

That notwithstanding, this is not the first time that Nadia claimed she was prevented from participating in Call of Duty events for sharing bikini pictures online. The streamer made a similar allegation in a September 3 tweet bemoaning the fact she wasn't invited to COD Next 2023, which took place a month later. Nadia subsequently deleted the tweet in question. Activision is not in the habit of publicly explaining its event roster decisions, so the company is unlikely to officially chime in on Nadia's latest claims.

Call of Duty is a first person shooter franchise published by Activision and developed by a variety of studios like Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games. Originally focusing on World War 2, the series has expanded to include futuristic and modern combat as well. The series continues to be incredibly popular thanks to the multiplayer PvP and more recently, the Warzone battle royale modes.
