The Prince of Persia franchise is making a comeback with a metroidvania-style game called The Lost Crown. The title is different from the legendary Sands of Time trilogy. The Lost Crown is set in ancient Persia, at a time when mythological creatures also existed.

The Manticore was known for devouring humans, which is why it is the perfect boss for a game. It appeared in The Lost Crown trailers multiple times. The Manticore will attack with its limbs as well as its tail, so players have to be on their toes while fighting it.

Sargon may face a Hadhayosh or a creature similar to it on his journey to save the prince. The beast will most likely use its horns to gorge the hero or maybe charge at him with incredible speed. Once the game is revealed, it will be clear what kind of attacks the Hadhyosh will have.

5 Apaosha

Demon With Great Strength

Aposha was a demon who rode a black horse. He was mainly associated with droughts. Apaosha was the antithesis of Tishtyra, an entity that brought fertility. The two engaged in battle twice, with Apaosha coming out on top in the first meeting. Tishtyra had no hope of defeating the demon, but things changed after he received some help. The second clash between the two ended in a victory for Tishtyra.

Div are creatures that have human bodies, but they are bigger. The Div also have horns on their heads and the tusks of a boar. They reveled in killing people and consuming their flesh. The Div were considered ruthless, so a person caught by them would wind up dead.

These monsters can be used as inspiration to create the mobs in The Lost Crown. Since they wield weapons and have a knack for sorcery, the Div could prove to be extremely challenging enemies.

2 Shahmaran

The Shahmaran are mythological creatures that are half-woman and half-snake. In art, the Shahmaran are drawn as two-headed beings. One head is that of a human female, while the other is that of a snake. Both the heads are covered with crowns.

If the Shahmaran are made a part of The Lost Crown, it will be interesting to see if Ubisoft sticks to the mythology completely or adds a few details of their own.

1 Djinns

Have Otherworldly Powers

The Djinns have appeared in Prince of Persia games before, so it wouldn't be surprising if The Lost Crown included them as a way of paying homage. Djinns are armed with special powers that make them extremely dangerous.

There is a good chance that Sargon will encounter at least one Djinn on his travels. Depending on the developers' plans, the Djinn could be one of the biggest threats to Sargon in the game.
