The 2023 farming simulator from Pathea Games, My Time at Sandrock, is finally getting a much-requested multiplayer feature months after release. This latest update will be great news for fans looking to play My Time at Sandrock with friends on other platforms.

As a sequel to 2019's fondly-received cozy farming game My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock had a lot to live up to in the eyes of fans prior to its release. Fortunately, though, the Stardew Valley-like game was a big hit when it launched in November 2023, obtaining an 80 Metacritic score on PC and an 88% Very Positive rating on Steam. One of the most notable additions that Sandrock added to the formula its predecessor established was the inclusion of online co-op, which made it so that up to four players could build workshops and cultivate towns together. The one big issue that hampered this otherwise solid multiplayer component at launch was the inability to play with friends on other platforms. Luckily, it seems like Pathea Games has listened to feedback from fans and has made an announcement regarding this problem.

My Time at Sandrock Has Been Getting Consistent Updates

As for My Time at Sandrock, the game has been getting consistent support from its developers ever since its official launch, even after leaving early access. Just recently, Pathea Games released a big new update for the Switch version of the game, which fixed a number of graphical and technical issues the port had at launch. In terms of proper content, though, the developers have added a bunch of new features to the game so far this year. Some of these additions include new customization items and more NPC dialogue for romance options, alongside things like a roguelike endgame dungeon, a factory queue system, and a letter system. With how frequently the game has been updated so far, it looks like My Time at Sandrock fans will still have new things to look forward to throughout the rest of 2024.
