Although many efforts in My Time at Sandrock go toward building parts and structures while helping the townspeople with various projects, there are also some combat aspects. In these situations, it helps to know what the best weapon to have at the ready may be. Of course, some weapons are easier to get than others. With options for melee or ranged combat, there's something for all play styles.

Players can easily find themselves drowning in items in My Time At Sandrock, and they'll need to get a bigger bag to carry all that loot home.

6 Vintage Pistol

Ranged

  • 45-143 Attack
  • Uses ammo (crafted or bought)

The vintage pistol in My Time at Sandrock offers a ranged option, which is great for those looking to kite their enemies. As expected when using a firearm in a game, the aim is critical to actually damaging the opponent. Keep an eye on ammo though, as it is limited. Pistol bullets can be purchased for 20 Ruins Tokens or made at a Grinder for one copper bar and three niter, so knowing where to find copper will be key to keeping your ammo ready.

It is a great early-game option while players get used to the combat mechanics of the game. It only takes an hour in-game to craft this weapon, and the resources to make it (two bronze pipes, two copper screws, and three metal coils) are fairly easy to obtain. With this pistol, players can do 143 damage if it is fully upgraded to rare quality. This will also give three random affixes.

5 Motivational Hammer

Hammer

  • 81-189 Attack
  • Slow swing, but hard hit

Another good early-game choice, for those who may need some beginner tips, is the Motivational Hammer. This is a drop received after defeating the Geegler President in Belly of the Beast. It can be obtained at three quality levels — perfect, rare, or rare with max stats.

While the hammers are a little bit slower to hit, they are hard hitters. The lowest amount of damage it does is 81, but when it is fully upgraded players swing out 189 damage. At this point in the game, likely, the sword and shield is still a very prevalent choice in battles, which gives a max of 101 in comparison. Under level 20, this is the most powerful weapon one can equip.

4 Iron Greatsword

Sword

  • 88-236 Attack
  • 2 Break damage per attack

At level 20, the Iron Greatsword becomes a great heavy hitter for a while. Boasting a max damage of 236, it gives quite the jump from what the choices are at level 14. But this is a weapon for the agile. The weight of this sword means the builder will swing it very slowly, but once it gets there, the damage comes through hard. But with a heavy sword comes a lot of stamina to wield it, so make sure to bring good stamina food when going out to battle for a long time.

Another bonus of this weapon is how surprisingly simple it is to craft. All it takes is a Forging Machine, six steel bars, two tanned leather, two copper screws, and an hour and a half of game time. Gather some Rosestone and upgrade this beast to unleash its full potential. With some added Heavy Sword Knowledge, it can be very powerful.

3 Titanium Spear

Spear

  • 184-422 Attack
  • Quick combos at a range

Getting into the later-game options, the titanium spear is a contender for battle. The speed and damage of the titanium spear aren't particularly greater than other weapons, but it does have quick combo hit options and allows a bit of range for a quick getaway.

The recipe for the titanium spear isn't available until the Sandrock Strikes Back mission is completed. At that point, it can be purchased from the Commerce Guild Store. It requires an Intermediate Forging Machine, so this crafting station will need to be upgraded. It takes six titanium aluminum alloys, five composite fiber rods, and five crystals to make, taking almost three hours in-game to craft. It is a lengthy and resource-heavy process, but once it's made, players will have a weapon that is quick and can do 422 per hit at its max.

2 The Raven's Wings

Daggers

  • 169-380 Attack
  • Fastest weapon type available

Not only are these daggers good-looking, but they're quick and efficient too! These are some of the strongest sets of daggers in My Time at Sandrock. An important thing to consider, however, is that daggers only offer one break damage. This affects the enemy's toughness, which determines how much they can be hit without interrupting their attack.

Daggers, overall, are the fastest weapon available. Because one is held in each hand, the builder can dig them in quickly, one right after the other. Those who choose to use daggers will also notice an increase in the critical damage dealt to enemies. But for The Raven's Wings specifically, users will see a jump to level 60 when it's max refined with an attack max of 380. Paired with some of the best skill upgrades in My Time at Sandrock, players will feel unstoppable.

1 Altair RX-67

Unique Weapon

altair-rx-67-my-time-at-sandrock-1
  • 341-485 Attack
  • Rewarded, not purchased or crafted
  • 3 combo attack with short-range and long-range damage

Ultimately, the weapon that everyone should strive for is the Altair RX-67. It's an Old World weapon that cannot be crafted or bought. This is earned by completing the Definitely Not a Ninja Sword mission. Qi fixes it for the builder and gives it to them when he's finished. With this ranged sword, attacks can be done short-range and long-range.

At its very max power, it can give 539 damage. This makes it one of only three weapons with the ability to do more than 500 damage at most. However, its base stats are higher than the other two on the lowest end, with 341 compared to the Light Hammer at 251 and the Cargoldithril at 229. It may take a while to get to this mission, so those at the beginning of the game will benefit from ensuring they have all the essential early tools before rushing to get this weapon.
