My Hero One's Justice 2 is going beyond "Plus Ultra" with the addition of the assertive inventor, Mei Hatsume, as a DLC fighter. Bandai Namco has announced that Mei will be on sale this summer, by herself, or bundled with the season pass, providing access to her, Hawks, and three other characters yet to be revealed.

Unlike most My Hero Academia characters, Mei's super-powered quirk, Zoom, doesn't have obvious combat applications. Instead, she will be supplementing her telescopic eyes with a move-set that features her signature brand of hero support items, including bombs, a capture gun, wire arrow, and jet pack. Her addition brings the game's current roster to a total of forty fighters.

This is the latest of several recent updates to hit One's Justice 2, including the free addition of the evil fighter, Nomu, and paid DLC providing One's Justice 2's villains with more wardrobe options. Before that, Bandai Namco added a free photo mode, and kicked off its DLC season pass with the addition of the winged hero, Hawks, along with dubbed English voice acting.

My Hero One's Justice 2 has garnered positive reviews from critics and fans, especially for a game competing in the crowded arena of traditional, anime fighters. And with Shoto Todoroki joining the ranks of Jump Force, the My Hero hype train doesn't appear to be slowing any time soon.

Time will tell which characters arrive next in One's Justice 2, but the villainous Gentle Criminal and his love-struck sidekick La Brava are two likely candidates. The fifth season of the My Hero Academia anime is also underway and will hopefully arrive sometime next year, despite COVID-related production delays.

My Hero One's Justice 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
