Western fans of My Hero Academia who have been clamoring for an English dub in My Hero One's Justice 2 have reason to celebrate. Alongside a new addition to the cast, fans now have the chance to switch voices over to their preference.

With the release of the latest update, players are given the option to switch over to the English dub for the first time in the franchise. This means that fans accustomed to the English voices can now hear the talented cast delivering some action packed screams in My Hero One's Justice 2.

The dub was revealed by Clifford Chapin who provides the voice for all-round powerhouse and well-liked jerk Katsuki Bakugou. The minute long gameplay clip shows fan favorite Bakugou battling it out with main character Izuku Midoriya, voiced by Justin Briner. While it's mostly the usual fare of fighting game grunts and screams, it perfectly suits the mayhem of battle for the heroes in training.

Besides the English voices, the patch adds a new character and some quality of life changes. According to version 1.05 patch notes, the game is receiving balance changes, data for the new downloadable support characters with improved game stability. The support character to make their debut is the fan-favorite Hawks who was announced back in April. Hawks is just the first of the five additional characters that are coming in the season pass.

My Hero One's Justice was a well received action game that brought the would-be heroes to the video game world back in 2018. The sequel, My Hero One's Justice 2, released earlier this year in March to a similarly warm reception with the caveat of repeated content. My Hero One's Justice 2 did bring along a whole new set of characters expanding the cast by nearly double the original number.

The news of this dub comes some months after Funimation, who handles the English dub of My Hero Academia, announced that dubbed episodes would be delayed as actors worked from home. This was due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic that has shaken up all aspects of the entertainment industry.

While the sub vs dub debate still rages on, developers providing the option to gamers is a welcomed addition and something many consider crucial to any anime game. With the English dub available, players can now play character All Might with prolific voice actor Christopher Sabat hamming it up in the best way possible.

My Hero One's Justice 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
