As fans of the show will no doubt tell you, My Hero Academia has taken over the planet since it debuted in 2015, with the story of Izuku Midoriya and his journey to becoming the greatest superhero in the world standing as one of the most popular animes currently on air. Amassing four seasons and a wide fanbase, it seems My Hero Academia has no intention of slowing down any time soon, especially with the recent season 4 finale teasing that there's still much more to come.

In a move that will surely come as no surprise, My Hero Academia has revealed that another season is on its way, with this highly-anticipated fifth season in production and likely to hit screens next year. Naturally, this will make fans very happy, especially as the show's story has been dealing a number of intriguing twists and turns as of late.

The show itself has had a fairly eventful run this season, with Midoriya meeting All-Might's former sidekick, befriending Mirio Togata, and coming to blows with the villainous Overhaul in one of the show's best battles to date. No doubt season 5 will have a load more fantastic moments, especially with the show's narrative beginning to embrace some much darker story arcs.

The show has been recently been spinning out much further than just TV, however, with My Hero Academia: Two Heroes hitting theaters earlier this year and My Hero Academia: One's Justice 2 coming to consoles last month as well. The franchise is seemingly more popular than ever, which only means more incredible My Hero Academia content for its passionate fanbase.

My Hero Academia season 5 is currently in production.
