With each season My Hero Academia does a great job of introducing its audience to a new swath of pro heroes, each with their own unique power and design. These heroes have reached the apex of the hero rankings thanks in large part to their work ethic and commitment to saving people.

Some of them have sidekicks who aid them in the heat of battle, but that doesn't mean they also couldn't use a Pokemon partner by their side as well. My Hero Academia and Pokemon might seem like an odd pairing, but the two both showcase good people overcoming evil, despite the odds rarely being in their favor.

8 Cementoss (Onix)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Onix

With Cementoss having the ability to control cement, it's likely he'd want a Pokemon by his side that's likely Ground-type. Onix is a large physically imposing creature that can intimidate foes simply by being present. Cement is often used to mix sand and gravel, so essentially it's bringing ground materials and rock together. The fact that Onix is both a Ground and Rock-type feels like it was meant to be the Pokemon at Cementoss' side. The pro hero is also exceptionally well-versed in literature, so he might enjoy teaching his stone snake about other things outside of combat.

7 Fat Gum (Snorlax)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Snorlax

Fat Gum is a large and charismatic hero who has a keen focus on preparing the next generation of heroes for the types of difficulties they'll face. His ability allows him to burn excess fat on his body and turn it into a powerful counterattack.

Pairing him with a rotund Pokemon might seem like an obvious choice, but the best partnerships are those in which two individuals can learn from one another. Snorlax, a massive Normal-type, could teach Fat Gum to take it easy from time to time, and the pro hero can show the giant slumbering beast how to best effectively use its own body weight and overall mass to its full potential.

6 Mirko (Lopunny)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Lopunny

At first glance, Mirko is nothing more than an in-shape woman who happens to have bunny ears. The reality is that she's an extremely powerful and capable melee hero who catches targets off guard with the power and flexibility of the abilities provided to her by her rabbit-like legs.

Pokemon as a series doesn't have a ton of rabbit-like Pokemon to choose from, but thankfully one of them matches the feminine and powerful silhouette Mirko is known for and that's Lopunny.

5 Edgeshot (Scizor)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Scizor

Edgeshot may not be the most powerful pro hero in My Hero Academia, but it's hard to deny that he easily has one of the anime's coolest designs. When thinking of a Pokemon that's ultra-effective in combat but also has an incredibly cool design, a crimson Metal and Bug-type comes to mind.

Scizor is the evolved form of Scyther, an evolutionary line that GameFreak managed to somehow make even cooler than its base form. As a pro hero, Edgeshot tends to act quickly with precise aim, so having a bruiser that can scrap in the heat of the moment provides the pro hero with additional support and combat versatility.

4 Best Jeanist (Inteleon)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Inteleon

If everyone was honest with themselves, the conclusion of Best Jeanist being a rather weird and offputting presence would be discussed at length. He's highly effective and inventive in the way he approaches enemies with his unique power. In times of calm, though, he's an eccentric and mysterious soul who revels in it.

Among the several hundred Pokemon that exist, there's one clear answer as to which creature matches this exact energy. That'd be the final evolutionary form of the Water-type starter from Pokemon Sword & Shield, Sobble. Inteleon is its final form, and this long-range attacking Water-type could provide additional angles of attack when Best Jeanist is out in the field.

3 Hawks (Talonflame)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Talonflame

It's hard to find a pro hero in the world of My Hero Academia as purely cool and suave as Hawks. His power on the surface seems like it'd be limiting and situational, but every time he's showcased the potential of his feathers, it becomes clear why he's ascended the ranks of pro heroes in the blink of an eye. Talonflame, a Fire and Flying dual-type, happens to be one of the fastest Pokemon in existence.

It possesses the type of change of direction and outright speed that Hawks would need out of a Pokemon partner. Their training would need to be focused on, as it was revealed one of Hawks' true weaknesses is dealing with fire. The last thing he needs is a stray Talonflame attack clipping some of his wings at a crucial moment.

2 Endeavor (Incineroar)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Incineroar

Now, anyone watching My Hero Academia understands the past of Endeavor and how pairing him with a Pokemon partner could have been problematic in the past. These days he's simply trying to live up to the title of #1 hero in All Might's absence.

Endeavor is stubborn, though, and would only want a creature by his side that matched his intensity and focus. That's where the seventh generation Fire-type starter Incineroar comes in, the final evolutionary form of Litten. It's a living embodiment of a professional wrestler and can grapple with the best of them. It's the type of Pokemon Endeavor would train to reach its absolute potential.

1 All Might (Lucario)

My Hero Academia Pokemon Lucario

All Might is a tricky pro hero to pair a Pokemon with because in his prime he was so incredibly powerful that anything by his side might simply get in the way. When looking at what All Might respects and admires in others it tends to be the sheer commitment to protecting others.

Lucario is an empathetic Pokemon that can sense the feelings of others, an ability All Might would cherish and welcome as it would provide him with additional insight into both the people he's taking down and the innocent civilians he's saving. Emotional intelligence isn't something every hero develops or thinks about, but All Might would immediately understand how invaluable Lucario would be by his side.
