Of course, Toya has been an incredibly important part of this family, and one that has driven this exciting conflict to be as deep and meaningful as it is. With the war finally over, fans are wondering as to what will happen with Toya Todoroki, and Horikoshi now has to provide an answer as to what he intends to do with this character.

Toya Todoroki's Treatment

Toya Todoroki Has Suffered Tremendously Over The Years

My Hero Academia chapter 425 opened on quite a light-hearted note. The fans got to see the graduation of 3-A students, and at the same time, class 1A students moving up a grade. This was great, given that the vast majority of the fans actually missed the academia days of the story. Now that they are getting to witness this once again, things are looking just like before, and before the series wraps up, this is a very nice touch by the author. Fans also got to see quite a lot of other exciting things in the chapter, such as Mirio's speech. The chapter also focused on some heartbreaking things, such as Aoyama's departure, and his vow to become a Hero with his own hard work. At the same time, Shinso joined class 2A as well, and all that was incredibly exciting for the fans to witness.

However, the most exciting part of the chapter came towards the very end when fans saw a panel of Enji Todoroki, also known as Endeavor, waiting for his son. Moments before that, it appeared that Shoto Todoroki was set to meet his father once again. Meanwhile, Endeavor was seen at an intriguing place, in front of the body of his son, and it was clear to see that his body has paid the price. In fact, his body was about to explode, and had the Todoroki Family not joined forces to stop it, he would most likely not have been alive right now. Still, the damage dealt to his body was immense, and that damage is likely going to be very hard to recover from. This is an aspect of the story that My Hero Academia is going to focus on very soon, likely starting with the next chapter.

As such, My Hero Academia chapter 426 will likely see all the focus being thrown on the Todoroki family. Endeavor owes an apology to Toya for his treatment and for whatever he has done in the past. At the same time, it will be interesting to see if Toya is willing to forgive Endeavor, and at the same time, regrets going down the path that he was driven on. Things are going to be incredibly exciting and intense in the upcoming chapter, and Shoto Todoroki will most likely be thrown into the mix as well.

Will Toya Be Locked Up For His Crimes?

Toya Will Face Punishment For His Actions

One of the most intriguing questions that fans might have at this point in time in regards to Toya Todoroki is whether he is going to be punished for his crimes. Fans must remember that Toya was a criminal and a part of the League of Villains. He is a character who did some heinous things, and even though he was loyal to his own, he did cause chaos in the Hero Society. There is no doubting the fact that the Hero Society failed him first, and he will have to pay for his crimes in one way or another. In fact, it is entirely possible that Toya will be locked away in Tartarus for quite a while. It might also be entirely possible that Toya is going to be in Tartarus right from the get-go and that his treatment is being carried out there. It will be very interesting to see in which direction Horikoshi takes things, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

The first thing we have to do is take away their sense of peace! – Toya

Of course, the first and the most important thing is to know how Toyota is recovering. At this point in time, fans do not know what the grade of his injuries is and if he's even in the condition to speak. This is also reminiscent of the time that Toya ended up blowing himself up the first time around. He was saved by Doctor Garaki, and, at that time, Toya had wished that his family would be around. Unfortunately for him, nobody came and it almost felt like they didn't care for him. This, coupled with the fact that Endeavor focused his abuse on Shoto after led him to becoming Dabi.

The past never dies!

However, this time around, things will be different. When Toya does wake up, the first person he's going to see in front of him is going to be Endeavor. At the same time, he will also likely see the other members of the Todoroki Family, such as his mother, Rei, and of course, Shoto and the other siblings as well. Things are going to be much different for him this time around, and hopefully, he can find it in his heart to continue towards a better future, even if he doesn't forgive Endeavor, who, at this point, is beyond redemption. However, he can still spend the rest of his life making up for what he did, and that is certainly what fans expect of him.

Toya's Rehabilitation

Toya Should Eventually Be Freed And Allowed To Live His Life

All in all, Toya's endgame will likely see him be imprisoned while he's recovering, or after he finishes his recovery. Toya will spend a significant time in prison, as that is the likely course of action to take here. Eventually, however, he will be freed and he will be allowed to rejoin his family. The Todoroki Family certainly deserves a happy ending, and despite all of Toya's wrongdoings, he was wronged by his family as a child too.

Let’s tango, you and me, Enji Todoroki! A dance with your son, here in hell!

For him, it is essential to end the series on a proper note. This is doubly so because the League of Villains did not all get proper endings in My Hero Academia. Quite a lot of them were unfairly killed off, and this left a sour taste in the mouths of the fans. Hopefully, characters who did end up surviving, such as Toya, get a proper ending.

My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 426, is set to be June 30, 2024.
