Deku is losing all his quirks against Shigaraki in MHA.

In the previous chapter, fans got to see Deku make great advances in his fight against Shigaraki, and at the same time, fans also got to see a proper look at the battlefield surrounding Deku, where tons of heroes lay injured, in desperate need of help. Now, all the attention is expected to turn back to Deku versus Shigaraki, which is edging closer to its end with each passing moment.

Deku vs Shigaraki Continues

My Hero Academia chapter 417 is most certainly going to see the continuation of Deku versus Shigaraki. This fight has been going on for quite a while now, and it has certainly lived up to all expectations so far. The previous chapter made this clash even more exciting, as more emotional weight was added to it. Deku was seen tearing through Shigaraki's defenses in the previous chapter, and he did so with quite some style. Deku intends to transfer his remaining Vestiges inside of Shigaraki, and in doing so, he wants to weaken the strongest villain of all time. This is quite a difficult task for him to accomplish, however, one that he looks ready to take on. Deku was doing incredibly well in the previous chapter, and My Hero Academia chapter 417 will see him continue on that streak.

It is also possible that Deku will land quite a few blows on Shigaraki in the upcoming chapter. Particularly, towards the end of the last chapter, fans saw Deku charge a very powerful punch at Shigaraki. Before the punch could connect, the chapter concluded. It is highly likely that My Hero Academia chapter 417 will finally see Deku connect with Shigaraki, and this powerful punch will certainly have a lasting effect. At the same time, it is possible that, with this punch, Deku might be able to transfer a couple of vestiges inside Shigaraki's body. Given that the process of transferring the vestiges cannot be too slow, fans can imagine maybe two of them being transferred with this punch, which would then weaken Shigaraki tremendously, and give Deku the opportunity to weaken him even more, improving his standing in battle, and getting one step closer to his goal.

In that regard, My Hero Academia chapter 417 is going to be absolutely essential for the story moving forward. Deku, as fans know, absolutely cannot let Shigaraki dictate the flow of the battle, and for that reason, landing quick blows in succession is important for him here. Fans can only hope that he is able to keep this up in the upcoming chapter, and set up what could be the very end of the fight in the chapter that follows.

Deku Witnesses Shigaraki's Past

Most importantly, My Hero Academia chapter 417 is likely going to tackle Shigaraki's past, once again. While fans have already seen everything that has happened to Shigaraki long ago, Deku does not know specifics about what happened to him. In the previous chapter of the story, Deku unravels something very interesting as he prepared to launch his blow at Shigaraki. While he was charging at him, their memories kept getting mixed up. Shigaraki could most certainly see what Deku was going through, and at the same time, Deku could see Shigaraki and his entire past. Deku even saw All For One take Shigaraki with him, and that was certainly a heartbreaking sight for him, as, if at that moment, a hero would have given him a helping hand, perhaps they would have been friends at this point in time.

While that was certainly painful for Deku to see, he couldn't afford being sad, since this fight is one that could turn within the blink of an eye. As a result, Deku focused all his attention on Shigaraki, however, right now, what is in front of him could be very shocking for him to deal with.

My Hero Academia: Horikoshi Confirms Shigaraki As The Strongest Villain

Shigaraki is confirmed as MHA's greatest villain by the author himself.

Toward the end of the chapter, Deku came face to face with Shigaraki's house, the very same place where all his suffering emerged from. Fans have already seen the tragic past of Shigaraki, where his father played a significant role in his abuse, and at the same time, he ended up killing everyone accidentally.

Shigaraki buried this memory deep inside him, and Deku has now unearthed it. This is going to be a very interesting sight for the fans to witness in the upcoming chapter and witnessing this memory will give Deku an idea of how to proceed in this battle and how to save this tormented individual. At the same time, it could also potentially weaken Shigaraki, which would also play into Deku's favor.

The Breakthrough

Given that Shigaraki's memories are most likely going to be explored in My Hero Academia chapter 417, this could end up being key for Deku to beat him in combat. Deku cannot defeat Shigaraki in a battle of strength. This has been established in the story already. This is precisely why he needs to transfer the vestiges and that is exactly what he has been doing. At the same time, fans also know that Deku is going to great lengths in order to see the court transfer being made successfully. He has already transferred three of his Quirks inside of Shigaraki, and with that, fans have seen the latter weaken tremendously. However, the biggest factor here is going to be deciphering Shigaraki's past and figuring out everything about him. This is one thing that Shigaraki tried to cover up at every cost, and now that it is out in the open, he is going to crumble mentally.

Once Shigaraki crumbles, Deku will have the opportunity to defeat him. At the same time, he will have the opportunity to save his life because Deku does not intend to kill him at any cost. What he wants to do is to save his life, and to do that, he does need to defeat him. But, perhaps, these two individuals might exchange some words in My Hero Academia chapter 417, and if so, fans might see them attempt to understand one another. Shigaraki has been very dismissive towards Deku so far, but now that his weakness is going to be explored, perhaps, he will be more willing to listen. Clearly, MHA chapter 417 is going to be very decisive in regards to this fight and fans can only hope that the author delivers another fantastic addition to this arc, just as he did with the last one.
