Overhaul's Quirk is one of the most devastating in the My Hero Academia universe. Here's a closer look at how it works.

The Lizard Man

Spinner has a lizard-like appearance with long pink hair that is spiked up in a swirl. As a Stain fanboy, Spinner dons similar clothing as him, down to the bandage like mask and goggles to the sleeveless top, baggy trousers and boots. He also wears the iconic red scarf to pay tribute to the hero killer. Having little to no respect towards heroes, Spinner strongly believes in Stain's ideologies, and he also states that it's his dream to fulfill Stain's ideologies making him equally insane as his peers in the League of Villains. He follows Stain's ideologies to the point he begins wondering if the league was true to Stain's ideologies, as he slowly begins to realize that Tomura's plan was to destroy society as a whole. The reason why Spinner chose to go down this path is mostly based on the fact that Stain gave him a purpose in life, before becoming a villain, Spinner was discriminated all his life because of his mutant quirk and appearance. Spinner is also aware about where he stands in terms of powers and abilities compared to his peers, he knows he far weaker than his powerful allies such as Dabi and Toga but wanted to help the League carry out its evil plans.

While believing himself to be a villain, Spinner also questions the actions of the League when they execute plans that do not fall in line with Stain's ideologies. Regardless of this, just as heroes also depend on one another, villains also develop a sense of belonging within their groups, this is seen when Spinner connects with Tomura and the two discusses gaming, showcasing that villains also have feelings, dreams, and ambitions even though their intentions may not be in the best interest to society and is also seen when he motivates Tomura to wake up and fight against the heroes when they were captured. Among the League of Villain members, Spinner seems to be the only one with a sense of self-awareness, whereas his peers such a Dabi is hell-bent on revenge and Toga focuses on love and belonging.

Quirks And Skills

During the Forest Training arc, Spinner is seen going head with Shino Sosaki, otherwise known as Mandalay (a pro hero). He also seems to be extremely adapt with hand-to-hand combat abilities while also utilizing his weapons. He is also capable of taking on multiple smaller enemies at once and is able to fend them off. After seeing Spinner's potential, All For One granted him two more quirks which gave Spinner the ability to increase the size and bulk of his body as well as the quirk known as scalemail, an ability that allows him to cover himself with blades for protection, which can also be used for both offensive and defensive attacks.

Spinner also possesses more than average strength and durability, this gives him the power to take on pro heroes even while dealing with high damage. His upgraded quirks from All For One also helped him in many ways as he was able to increase the height he could jump as well as increase his levels of agility making him faster during battles. While Spinner is not a strong villain, he makes up for it with his motivation to pursue Stain's dream as well as putting a lot of heart into his plans to take down hero society.
